question on camera and intersections

Ok so i was driving in Montebello tonight by the mall, and i came upon this intersection with the cameras.

there were 2 lanes on the left for left turns with a specific signal for it and another signal for going straight. I was going straight and while I was about to cross, the left turn signal was turning yellow to red..but i figure i was ok since my signal for going straight was still green.

but to my surprised, it flashed 4 times...2 in front 2 in the back. i was only car on the road during that time.

so my questions are:

1. do you think i was driving too close to the left and my left wheel somehow hit the ground sensor?

2. IF i did get the ticket, is it possible to argue it in court?

i know this will cost me a lot of money if it goes through...ticket, traffic school, payment for traffic school..im guessing close to $450 total.

maybe it hit the ground sensor but it all depends you would have to wait until you get it in the mail in two weeks if you dont get one you should be okay tho

according to what you posted, you were going straight in the correct lane while that signal was still green for you, and possibly you triggered the sensor for the left turn and the cams thougt you ran the red for the left turn. it's not a big deal. they'll see all of that on the camera, and chances are you won't even see anything in the mail.

You should be ok since you were going straight. Your light was green so no worry. They would have to have a pic of you entering the intersection when the light is red and exiting when it's red to be able to ticket you.

you got nothing to worry about, i've done this about 3 times and no ticket. Police department that the pictures go to will look at them and if they see your going straight in the correct lane then they wont issue the ticket.

there is no ground sensor. when the light turns red, it automatically takes the photos. just had to say that
