DUI Checkpoints

I really don't encourage drinking and driving but just as a heads up to the SoCal community I think this thread might be of some use to people who don't want to get caught in this.

So tonight/right now there's a checkpoint on Valley Blvd entering Alhambra from the LA area.

Feel free to contribute to this thread people!

In any case, whether drunk or not (I sure hope NOT), be sure you have your license, registration, and proof of insurance in your car.

There's a few that are around my area most weekends. Asuza just South of Amar. Sometimes another one further North on Amar.

Sometimes on Nogales North of La Puente.

I'm usually DD when I go out with friends

I had to go thru one in Goleta last night. Wasn't drunk, but they still took my license and made me follow a finger. I guess there were a lot of checkpoints last night.

lol, if you see a checkpoint and don't wanna be caught riding dirty, i suggest you flip a b*tch and drive as quickly and elusively as you can (not speaking from experience, seriously). i've driven through a checkpoint only once, while eating some kfc hot wings and the cop got right in my face to talk to me. i was pretty intimidated even though i hadn't even had one drink that day.

^ Haha. Even tho I was totally sober also, I looked for a way around it. There was a cop on the other side of the road pulling people over who turned around. They had that shit figured out.

Do not make a U-turn, they usually have officers parked along the side waiting for people to evade the checkpoint. This makes you stand out like a sore thumb.

Not only that but for the one's I've been through, by the time you realize it's a checkpoint, you're stuck in traffic that you can't get out.
