Tinting Ticket!! What to do??

I was wondering if anyone else got a ticket for tint on their front windows and what did u do? I was thinking of taking it off and showing my car to a police to get it written off and then putting it back on. Is there any consequence if I get pulled over twice for having tint on my windows?

Nope they are just fix it tickets. Take it off, have a court/police officeer sign off on it pay the service fee. Go tint again if you feel necessary.

Been covered many times in the So Cal Forums =)

To get a Tint Ticket, the cop was A-Being a D!CK... B-You were driving a SICK @$$ looking car... lol... im going with B...

But i have 5% on the Rear and 20% on the front... Never have i had a problem...

I just roll down my windows in the event a COP rolls by, show them a little bit of respect by doing that, and they usually just nod at me and im on my way...

Answer is C- All of the above.

it's because of 2 things. 1, the cell phone, hands free law. 2, the crackdown on seatbelt violations. cops want to be able to see what you're up to in there.

regarding the ticket, it seems almost everyone knows someone who knows someone who knows a cop that can write it off for you without having to remove it in the first place.

thats why you have to have your cop-dar on high alert if you got your windows up. i rarely drive with my windows up.

try and find someone who has a friend thats a cop. that way they can just write the ticket off for you.

i've been pulled over plenty of times for tint on the front windows. only 2 times on the fit. it is actually a fix-it ticket. just take off the tint, get it signed off at a chp office (for free) cuz if you get it signed off at the court they charge a inspection fee. after that just pay off the ticket and the ticket is cleared. i end up applying tint again cuz i'm in love with tint. and really dark tint too lol

Getting tint tickets is fun. I got 3 of them on my old car. Careful because they start to fine. I think it was $110 for my 2nd one or 3rd.

Yeah don't tint the front windows again after you take it off. The cops can't see into your car well if at all at night if the front windows are tinted. It keeps them safe and keeps you from being approached in a hostile manner. If you tinted those windows cops will think you have something to hide like a weapon.
