Help: Ticketed For The First Time
#21
well i got a ticket for going over an island on the freeway
i would just fight the one u got cuz of him estimating cuz u can win
normally u would ask for the printout of the gun
to have proof
and record the time and date
make sure it says the correct time and date on the ticket
and the destination
and cross intersection
usually if u want to fight it
u have to pay for it and then if u win
u will get a check in the mail with a letter saying u won the case
its best to appear in court for this
unless ur essay skills are very persuasive to the judge
and his essay sucks ass
i wrote one before and i won the case but lost 10 bucks for the stupid processing fee
if it ends up u losing the case, u can ask for extension and pay the amount later on
traffic school is cheap online and easy cuz u can save it while u go
the fix it ticket is about 25 bucks now and thats the usual fee now
u ahve to go to a chp in baldwin park to get it signed off
so u dont have to pay the whole amount

I'm old!
I'm fairly old and maybe I missed it but an option he might want to consider is getting a lawyer that specializes in traffic violations in the jurisdiction where the infraction occurred! Often they know the DA and for (in Kansas City) $100-200 things just get forgotten or lost. Consider raised insurance rates when considering options. also developing a relationship with decent legal council can come in handy when you are REALLY in hot water (wearing handcuffs). Sometimes getting a lawyer is really the cheapest option depending on what your time is worth.
