Thinking about it. I just want to see if a wider wheel and the Dunlop Star Spec will help improve my time or not. My driving is weaksauce lol

 

Focusing more on seat time than spending money on mod is more beneficial. You want to graduate a mod at a time. I tried to learn it like that and it has helped so far.

lol don't think of me so highly Matt. when I say suck I mean it. I think I will be running white that event. It will be my sister first time also so it would be good practice for her to follow my line.

I agree 100%. Only reason why I got the Star Spec was because i spun out at Buttonwillow and one of my Neovas are dead. So i figure the star spec would be a good replacement. Just want to see if i can notice any difference with the tires.

What size tires do you use?

Motor is stock. Just have a DC Sports header and an A"PEXi WS2 exhaust. I mostly have suspension mods.

 

195/55/15.

 

That was my stock tire size. Why don't you try upgrading to 205/50/15?

 

Cus I put the tires on my old wheels(15x5.5). I also dont want my car looking like a 4x4 until I get suspension. lol

 

Oh ok. Got it now. I thought your width was 6". So narrow... If you need any parts, I can hook you up. Just let me know what you want.

 

Its all good, I have some 15x7's now so the tires are a lil bit more free haha

 

I started out with 1:44 and I think my best was 1:36. I forgot it has been a while. Really you think white is less traffic? I think it was more but again I only been on either white or blue.

Cool. My fastest was 1:42. I plan to hit high 1:30s this time around. I'm actually not sure if I'll make it. I'm switching to 5-lug soon and I need wheels, tires, and brakes. I don't have enough money... Crap!
