Well in his defense, he did say "hope to see everyone today! Let's make this a meet to remember" in the original meet thread. So he did deliver. :-)

Hey it's all part of growing up. Some of us old guys have learned these lessons the hard way too. Like gimme says-just be honest and up front and people (even parents) will trust you. It was still a cool meet while it lasted! Too bad there's no pix of my car, maybe I need to have something to install! Next time, more tools, some easyup canopies, complete permission and let's work quicker and stand around less, so we can all cruise to dinner or something......

Sorry to say but that is the typical view of mostly older Asians that live in the Orange County area. I can't really blame them since they all seem to enjoy scaring each other by spreading home invasion stories on top of the news reports which they always exaggerate to make it even worst. For instance my in laws always tell me not to have any doors open in my house cause someones going to rush in and rob us????

PS: I wouldn't say they are racist...They're just paranoid..

i think it's just because a vast majority of the older Asian parents immigrated here. And since being here, they have worked their butts off to get the things they have and are cautious about strangers at their homes.

me, 33 year old white male, will just shoot you if you try to steal from me

I would argue but i just came to the conclusion that they are crazy. I was gonna ask them what was better, doing drugs and going out drinking or working on some cars? but whatever

Lol... I'll bring her ice cream if I ever go to your house.

Also, consider that it's not your house/property, it's you're parents. So basically, when you throw parties, etc. Let them know so they know what to expect. You're still young, so chances are they're gonna say "no" alot of times. LOL. I agree with you that older vietnamese people are crazy. But you gotta understand that they lived in a different country/lifestyle before they moved over here. There's still alot of vietnamese people who don't want to change. It's more of a cultural habbit that they can't break out of.

Damn overpriced games. Dude cant wait for you to post the pics that we took. Should be some good ones. By the end of the night only 2 fits were left to take pics. Glad to meet everyone, was cool. I know I told a lot of people that id do their independent fogs, and im really sorry that I couldnt get around to them before we left. Next meet ill gladly do it for everyone.

As for tearing Jason up.... His parents already did that so just neg rep him instead TOTALLY KIDDING. DONT DO THAT!!!! I got to meet a lot of people and that was great. Thanks jason for giving us the opportunity to hang at your house as long as we did. It was totally worth the drive from palm springs for me. So in all honesty thanks Jason (Drift King).

I'll be sure to keep on a lookout for it. Also i know my parents are pretty racist people, it makes me kinda mad because i grew up into a partially racist person, although it's not that bad and has diminished. But what can you do? All the vietnamese poeple i ever met were the same way.

oh also Bi-toy, did you forget your 10mm deep-walled socket near my car? or anyone? all i remember was it was used to remove my lights so that's why im asking Bi-toy.

haha thanks, i did my best. We should all get together again soon and do everything that we needed. As far as the drift king quote.. I was seriously planning on ripping the E-Brake yesterday but someone was behind me and i didnt wanna freak him out.. I love wet puddles for that now, cant say rain cuz i cant evern remember the last time it rained around here I also put my lights back together this morning so thank you Bi-toy! it looks great! I might paint the foglight housing black too but i love how it is right now, no lenses so it's basically an air catching hole -1 mpg for air drag FTW! Post some low qual pix later tonight

By the way, i drove a 323ci 5 speed today for quite a while and it was the first time in like a year i drove a non-electric throttle. It took a while to get used to since it didnt have that super-sensitivity but i liked it more. Also going from a BMW to Honda was like going from lifting weights to paper! crazy
