From LUXURY to a Fit? Let's hear what you used to drive.

Did any of you here in SoCal ditch your luxury car for a fit? If so what was it? How did you like it? Did it get the gas mileage you wanted or expected? Did it perform how you liked? Whats your reason for rolling it down the highway? Whore out your old rides, for old times sake.

As for me, I gave the IS300 to my dad and sold the S2000. I absolutely loved both cars, but the economy is getting heavy... insurance blows ass, let alone pumping 75 dollars of gas in a Lexus every 5 to 7 days. I would drive the IS till the frame turned to dust if it just got 10 more MPG, but 800 dollars a month on payments, insurance and gas is a POS in my opinion.

I miss it a lot, but am getting more used to going back to Honda for a few years. I will always love Honda tho

Had an Acura Integra if that counts as luxury. It was spiffy back in 1990 when I bought it. Then was just old when I finally sold it a year and a half ago to get my Fit.

I used to drive an '06 Civic EX coupe with the HFP lip kit and rims. 25-27 mpg was great and all, but the space wasn't going to do with college coming up at the time. Traded it in (straight trade FTW) for my Fit right before freshman year started.

Nice topic. I gave it a 5-star rating.

'02 4x4 Prerunner.
'04 Sequoia.
'05 325i.
'06 325i Sport fully loaded.
'06 Civic coupe ex.

'07 Fit, '08 Yaris are at present.
I miss the '06 325i the most. It was a blast to drive. If I could
do it all over again, I would!

if you have ever driven an s2k then you would know exactly why you get 22 -24 mpg. When you feel what VTEC REALLY FEELS LIKE and your hitting those close gear ratios in a feather light 240HP inline 4 RWD... then you KNOW i cannot drive like a ****eeen gramma. s2k is a car of cars in my world. PEDAL TO THE FLOOR.. NUTS IN THE TRUNK.

my gear ratios are just as close and and my car is lighter than an s2k =P

when i went to the dealer it was either get an s2k or my fit. i figured insurance would be cheaper if i got a fit and also i wouldn't get as many speeding tickets. if i got the s2k i would either be in jail or dead.
