I personally shoot with Canon, but I have used both Canon and Nikon for different projects and clients. Both are the same to most users... One will say one is better then the others....Like Travis said try it out sometime DSLR may not be what you are looking for but just simply P&S camera. People alway think with a DSLR they just automatically create better photos and hows the better camera is all...You need to learn the foundation of photography like the ISO, F-Stops, Shutter Speed, Exposure, white balance, focus, and etc. before thinking about forking over the money...Look at the Canon G12 or Nikon CoolPix p7000 or Sony Nex-3 Camera. If you want to talk more I'm sure there be few photographer out at the meet on Saturday that you can talk too.
I also personally shoot with Canon, but I do use Nikon at times too. If you know what you want to do then you don't really have to fork out that much money. I started with an XTi and I loved every minute with it. I upgraded to a 7D but I still use my XTi at times because I know what exactly I would do with it. I"ll be at the meet with both camera's if you want to see.
hey everyone, i want to trade my stain black slips' for oem gd3 wheels + cash on top. amount of cash will depend on the condition of the wheels and tires of course -- my slips are MINT, no curb rash, no dents, just a single paint chip the size of a chocolate chip from the idiots who mounted my tires. friends get first dibs so i didn't open a thread in the classifieds
wheel/tire specs are:
4x100 bolt pattern, 15x7 42et, 56.1 wheel bore
205/50/15 hankook ventus hrII all season tires. about 85% tread left in them, i got them last august and have only driven from home to work since purchase.
i can text/email pics to those that are interested just PM me your number/email address. pick-up would be in the san fernando valley

open to trades for ge8 wheels too, new owner gets a set of ray's lugs + wheel locks for his/her oem lugs.
gotta quick question!!! I just installed new brakes couple days ago and I went to the winding hills for a quick run. Did hard braking etc and my brakes smelt like it was burning. Is this normal? Do brakes take time to break in?
I would have given it a week or so of normal driving to properly break in... but thats me... I know some performance brake pads give a break in procedure...
Is everyone still alive? the "rapture" is here already right? haha
now my question is... is something going to happen on its own? OR is something going to happen because the old dude gave a specific date, made it public, even marketed it on billboards, and then someone else does something just so ANY event confirms it?
