Filipino Spaghetti: recipe guide ver1
gross dudes, you gotta make your filipino spaghetti from scratch - adding sugar and hot dogs to store bought sauce is sacrilege!!
Ingredients: makes 198157865912764 servings (traditional filipino way)
1) 2 pounds of ground beef or pork
2) two garlic florettes
3) a medium sized brown onion
4) one large can of tomato sauce
5) one medium can of crushed tomatos
6) one small can of tomato paste
7) (secret ingredient) two large bottles of spicy Jufran filipino banana-ketchup (ONLY USE JUFRAN)
8) one large bottle of non-spicy Jufran filipino banana-ketchup (AGAIN, ONLY USE JUFRAN)
9) two 12 packs of hot dog - any brand, super-red filipino hot dogs if you're hella-pinoy
10) salt & pepper
11) your choice of noodle (spaghetti, penne, etc. just don't get a pansy noodle like angel hair)
12) 24 pack of Sam Miguel
Time to cook!
Step 1: preparation
- mince your garlic and chop up your onions into small squares.
- open up your cans of tomato mush.
- cut your hot dogs however you want, i do small squares cause they're - - small enough to be in every bite.
- begin boiling your water for the noodles.
Step 2: uh, cook stuff
- brown the garlic and sweat your onions over medium heat
- drop your pork/beef into the mix and let it get brown - season with salt & pepper
- once the meat has browned you have a choice, dump the rendered fat into the trash or leave it in like a hardcore filipino would do
- you're probably getting all anxious for the spaghetti now, have your self two Sam Miguels
- get the meat back on the burner and dump in your tomato products and the banana-ketchups. make sure to get all the banana ketchup in there, pour some water into the bottle to dilute it, pop the top back on and give it your best waggle. pour the remaining banana-ketchup into the pot
- let it all come to a simmer with the pot lid half on
- shit, water's boiling so hurry and dump your pasta in there. don't burn your self. add lots of salt to the water, this is your only chance to make the noodles taste good
- MOAR BEER PLEEZE
- mmMmMMMM, sauce is simmering now. dump your hot dogs into the sauce pot. drop the heat down to it's lowest setting and cover your pot completely. turn off the heat after 10 mins.
Step 3: presentation
- noodles are done! drain your noodle pot and grab your favorite star wars plate; plop some noodles on there.
- sauce your noodles to your liking
- grab some pan de sal
- you're almost done with your last beer, have another
