So today I was driving home from work on the 405 N around 5:30 to heading to school, and on my rear mirror I see a super nice Evo w/ whole 9 yard, the guy look at my Fit and give me the what up and as he turbo away...I notice on right side of the rear bump... there was a yellow sticker, and at first I thought it was some decal for his coil over or something, but then I speed up too check it out again, and it was carpool pass that hybrid car get...I was like WTF!!!! Dude I get way more mileage to my tanks then you would ever dream on your evo! hehehe...now I know there no hybrid evo out there. hahaha I was like one the dude jack that off from a hybrid car or make a fake one?

Spoke to my friend with a Prius and I heard you have to BUY those stickers for your car. Maybe he got somebody to buy it for him. Not a bad idea. Just better hope the cops don't know jack about cars, lol.

hahha i wonder if it's illegal to make your own and stick it on the bumper, even if you don't try to go into the carpool lane by yourself.

actually

one of the many problems with those stickers is that people keep jacking them. so i think they stopped producing them or are going to soon.

People make fake decals. But much like everything else, if you happen to run into a cop who has half a brain and a shot of coffee. Then they are going to know that those stickers only apply to certain cars. He will happily pull you over and give you a nice big fine. But if you want to play the percentages go for it, but don't cry when you get busted and they tack on I think $400 bucks to your ticket, at least I think thats what it is. I actually looked it up a couple years ago since I had the means to make the decal, but thought twice when I saw the fine.

Only 4 cars qualify for the carpool stickers right now. Prius, Insight, Civic Hybrid and Civic GX. The stickers are registered to the car they are assigned and a cop can tell that with a simple license plate scan.

BTW stickers are no longer being issued to cars.

If I am not mistaken its also only a certain number of cars in total. When the mandate was passed it allocated a certain numbers or stickers to be issued only regardless of make. Hence there are a few owners of those same cars who cant get the sticker anymore. I think they stopped being issued a couple years ago. So the cars that registered and got a decal during the timeframe are worth a few more $$$ probably not that much but a buck or two here and there.

LOL at "spotted the f***ker again." but at least the driver isn't sneaking into the carpool lane.
