Dyno'd my car Today
Well I finally got around to dynoing my car to see if all these performance parts really did anything. And honestly to telll you guys I think I got a Magic Fit if these numbers are even close to accurate with the limited amount of mods I am running. After 3 runs the results are:
116.4 hp 110 ft/lb tq
118.1 hp 110 ft/lb tq
118.1 hp 110 ft/lb tq
BTW if anyone is interested in getting their car dyno'd just to see what kind of results their mods are getting I'm good friends with the guys at IMPORT AUTO PROS in Westminster. Their phone # is (714) 878- 5008 and ask for David.

ATS Carbon Clutch and Flywheel
Mugen Drop In-Filter
Mugen Header
J's Racing B-Pipe
J's Racing Axleback
Mobil 1 Synthetic Oil 5w-20 (since first oil change)
Baseline runs without any tuning should run you about $50 and depending on what fuel management you are running tuning generally is charged a flat rate of $225.

I'll probably get around to getting a bone stock Fit on the dyno to see how the numbers stack up vs. the dynojet hp of an estimated 80whp for a AT and 90+ for an MT.
Is anyone with a bone stock Fit interested in running their car for a baseline to see how this dyno compares to a dynojet? I can probably get you a good deal on the baseline run (nearly free).

Yeah I know I have a lot of expensive parts on there, but I was aiming to squeeze every last bit of performance out of the Fit I could possibly get, which can be seen by the parts that I decided to put on it. I've already scheduled a run for Azncarbos at the dyno tomorrow, so we'll see how this dyno stacks up to a dyno jet.

That would probably be the best way to verify the amount of power I am putting down. If you don't mind me asking, how much would I be able to get a baseline run from them for? If it was reasonably cheap I might take up the offer for another baseline elsewhere.

The measurement was taken from the wheels, so unless I am mistaken this is whp. Is BHP measured directly from the engine or something? I know that it is probably wishful thinking to hope that I'd put down the same amount on another dyno, but honestly I don't know how much it could be off from what I already put down. Regardless of what the dyno says I know its usefulness can only be realized as a comparison tool for before and after mods dynos.

Azncarbos (Peter) will be running his car on the same dyno today to see how his #'s stack up to mine. Again if anyone is interested in running their car on the dyno today, please call me on my cell phone at (949)939-7995. I just want to find out exactly how accurate those numbers are.

The curves are very faint but appear to check out torque vs hp. Your numbers are indeed very good, much more than I would expect from the usual mods.
So what mods have you done? headers, cams, intake, injectors, forced induction?
As someone pointed out dynos vary widely and thats why any dyno tuning should be done on only one dyno. Both the Fits we dynoed here yielded about 88-90 hp at about 6200 rpm so your mods were very successful.
Just out of curiosity what is your 60 to 100 mph time on level ground now? As someone else said only the stiopwatch knows for sure. good luck.

Hey guy so DynamicFit and I went to get my car dyno at the same dyno shop where he did his dyno at. And also we did the three runs like him, so the here the result from the three runs, also when taking the dyno we also factor the weather conditions, air temp, pressure, humidity, and etc.
The current mod I have on my Fit is Top Fuel chamber intake and HKS Hi Power axle back only and also my is AT

It's looking to me like that dyno might be a little optimistic. The spread between the cars seems about right...17% more whp for a header and manual. I think 13-15% more whp is pretty typical of a manual vs auto.
Either way, both are nice dyno's. I'd love to see what the two cars have for trap speed in the quarter. That would tell more than the dyno. Hard to fool a time clock.
I need to get our Fit to the track and see what it runs. Anyone know what a typical trap speed is for a stock manual Fit?

Personally I'm not a big fan of drag racing, but just for the sake of finding out exactly how much power I'm putting down, I'll probably make an attempt to get myself out there one of these days.
Going off the fact that Peter made 85 whp on a dynojet (bone stock), I would assume that between his exhaust and intake he would make approximately 4-5 hp. Placing him in the 90whp range. With him putting down 101.1 hp, I'd say it would be safe to say that this dyno is about 10% generous. So by extrapolating from this I would place my car at about 106 whp on the same dyno that Peter ran his car on which was a dynojet.
Does my interpretation of the data sound about right? Considering this is done without an intake, I would say that my mods were extremely successful. Putting down nearly bhp to the wheels is a pretty good accomplishment in my opinion. When the supercharger arrives I'll be back at it to show you guys what difference the KWSC kit does.
