i'm rockin no front plate. i have always loved the look of not having a plate on the bumper. i do keep my front plate in my car, soo when a cop decides to pull me over then i'll just say that i'm waiting on the dealership to give me the license plate bracket.

Don't park at LAX. If you have no front plate, they WILL ticket you while you are out of town.
Beats the **** out me why my taxes pay for cops to patrol parking lots and ticket people with no front plate....like LA has no real crime....

good luck to you guys who don't have your front plates on in california. my friends used to go around with no front plates on their cars since around 2003 and as of 2007 they've each been ticketed for it one or more times. the cops usually don't care but eventually one of them may and they won't care about "i'm just about to put it on, i need a bracket" or "the dealer never gave me a bracket" or any of those excuses. so, i sincerely mean it when i say good luck to you guys because it's really a gamble whether or not you're gonna get a ticket for it. hopefully you guys don't get one but all my friends used to say the same thing, "the cops dont care when they see me"...and now they're all eating their words.

to be honest i'm not sure if it's legal or illegal to have it up there between the dash and windshield. one of my friends used to have it up there but i don't know if he had it up there when he got ticketed. but i hear it's pretty dangerous when you get in an accident and the metal plate comes slicing at your head/neck.
if it adds any comfort, the fix-it tickets were only around $15 (file handling fee or something) once you showed that you corrected the problem. so it may or may not be a big deal depending on your opinion. i dont know if that price has changed in the last few years though.

yea its illegal to have the plate on the dash next to the windshield. i got ticketed before since i didn't have the plate on the front bumper. thats what the cops look for, it has to be somewhere on the front bumper.
