Thanks for all of you who came out. We had a nice variety today, and a very good turnout... hahah I guess I do have some planning skills .

Anyways, for those of you who took pics, post them when you get the time. I guess I'll see you all at the next meet... Eibach's? Maybe we could plan another one or something...

O btw... whos paying the 10 bucks? I'd rather not...

 

i think the meet turned out pretty good for a little 310 meet! thanks for all the people who came out from far areas! can't wait to see the pictures that 'Snapfit' snapped tonight!! next time, we'll plan a better photoshoot!

 

i actually took a few pictures but they didn't turn out to well. but i just uploaded some..








well, pretty much the other pictures are too dark. so i'll just wait for 'Snap Fit's pictures! oh and 'Snap Fit' you should just post the pictures under the 'Fit Pictures & Videos' thread so everyone else can see the pictures of our little so cal meet!

fun. thansk. glad we took so many pix. hope there are lots of mine. i fugged my car up on they way home. i almost want to give up on it now. feels like some one smacked me in the face with a shovel and hit me in the chest with a sledgehammer. ugh. it's not really that bad. i'm ok. it just hurts everytime i look at it. you'll see it at eibach's cuz i'll never be able to afford to fix it. at least not with a $2500 deductible. i'll just wait until i have to renew my ins in a few months and drop my deductible down to $100. if anything i'll just finish all my mods to it anyways and then ask just below the price of a brand new base manual for it right before the new model comes out. maybe i'll use this as my excuse to get me that 08 cbr600rr that i initially wanted instead...

alright. well, i just went out to look at it in the sunlight and it's about 471852396 times not as bad as i felt it was last night. i must've been really tired last night that's the only way i can explain it. i've never done anything like this before, NEVER! a few of us were leaving the gas station right next to the 405 in where ever we were, and i was gonna lead on the way back. i was at the pump facing the nearest driveway getting ready to pull out but then two of the other guys in our group jump in front of me so i decided to flip a quick bitch around the pumps and exit the other driveway right behind cuz it was closer to the light at the intersection than the driveway they were leaving. except in my haste or wtf idk, i cut it a hair to tight and hit some ginormous planter they have at the ends of the islands. i kinda felt a little something but what i noticed was the smack as it scraped all along my driverside rear door, over the quarter panel, and down my bumper. immediately i stop and get out to see what i'm in for, anthony saw it too cuz he was waiting for me to pull out first so he stopped and got out. fukcin planter had to be bright ass white. so it's not just scratches it's freakin crazy white lines etched into my poor nbp paint job. anthony was hopin i just hit my wheel. that would've been nice, can get another one for $100. david and duy are long gone, so anthony cruises behind me whlie i draft big trucks and family vans. all i wanna do is get home and cry myself to sleep. so anthony splits to the 22 and i teleport to my house. rip my clothes off and throw em everywhere. jump on my bed and suck my thumb. the whole time i was drivin back i imagined like the entire side of my car was completely crushed in. so i was kinda relieved to see it this mornin. i used to work at a body shop so i can estimate the damages pretty well. there's always two routes to an estimate the one you write for the insurance co and the one you right for out of pocket. for ins, easy 3k. easily. out of pocket, at least several hundred. at least. so whatever. hopefully, just some buffing will take care of the extreme white as a temp fix. until i can get one of my buds from the shop to do a little hammering and maybe a little bit of bondo. then another bud is gonna have to sand it and paint it. no prob. having worked at a body shop i can tell you, you want them to do as litlle work as possible on it, becuase no matter what it obviously is never gonna be the same, but the less they do the less noticeable it will be that you even had anything done to it. so, yeah that's my nightmare.

 

Wow...what happened dave? Is that why you and anthony didn't catch up to me cuz i was driving 65-70 mph on the highway so you guys could catch up...but i never saw you before i had to exit.

edit: nm my post just lagged, so that is why it took you so long even when duy blasted away, i kept on driving like a grandma waiting...sorry i didn't wait for you at the gas station. i thought you guys would have caught up to me.

 

Hey guys it was great to get out and meet some of the new faces! Diesel was definitely happy to meet you too haha.
We'll definitely have to meet up again soon, maybe for a mountain drive?

well, it's almost been 24 hours since and i'm feeling somewhat better. went to azncarbos house today and installed my tails and headlight bulbs. that seemed to help. more parts on the way. i just... can't... stop... the mods!!! really lookin forward to puttin the springs on with duy later in the week! those'll complete the first round of transformation (minus the damage). the visors and mask should be here in the begining of the week too! after all that's finished i can take care of the body work. gotta stay on the positive tip ya know.

 

I was actually thinking of doing that and just doing a double post in here referring to the ones in that thread.
I am currently working on about 4.5k photos that I need to go through and/or edit this week so I might be a little slow.

It was great meeting all of you...some for the first time and some for the second.
I might be able to identify some people in the "fit sighting thread" now

And los_creeper sure glad it was not worse! You had me goin there for a minute...I thought you had like a collision! odd that we had that conversation with Squirtle about the door skins(haahaa I forgot her name... sorry)

I gotta hear you HFP exhaust from inside and a comparable driveby. I completely forgot BTW that HFP was way bigger than I thought it would be

saiko's exhaust had a nice deep sexy note, yet was not obtrusive and it looked pretty good too!

I have about 20 done and probably at least 2-3x that to go. I work on one once about every 10-30 mins. I use it as a break from my other editing which is a bit more monotonous. They should start going up soon in the pics and vids thread.
Just remember that it was nightime and I never got to use the tripod (k I did use it once but when I took the pic one of the Fits drove away...hahaa, so I didnt bother again) and everytime I started taking pics we had to leave! HAAHAAAHAHAAAAAA it became quite comical actually ... I didnt get a ton of solid shots....hmmm...lemme see.... I just checked and I only took about 160pics which is surprisingly more than I said and thought i did yet way, way less than I would normaly... hmmm go figure...
With all the shuffling we did its funny that the meeting place was
In-n-Out which became the theme for the night .....gosh I am so funny...

 

I know what you mean. During drift events and major car events, I would come home with up to 1500 photos. Then for the next 2-3 days i'd be sifting through, choosing, labeling, making sure all the information about a given car is matched up with the right photos.....that was a lot of work back then. And then I'd send it off to our production editor to be cropped and sent off to the lab to be color corrected. lol

btw, i'm a new father to a 20D. woohoo. And somehow I ended up with a bastard child, 10D. Two of them actually. Once I recondition them, I'll turn around and sell them.
