End Of Summer BBQ, Can PPL Show Up This Time?

OK here it is, I would like to go to a meet where ppl show up and have a good time. I think that we are having a problem with the locations and lack of things to do. Here is what I propose we do. I can supply a place to have a meet in an industrial area at my facility. We can accommodate about 100 cars total. I think that we can mix the venue to also include the s2000 guys or anyone for that matter. We can do food and drinks for a small fee and figure some other activities or just hang out. How does that sound? My location is right off the 5 freeway not high profile very chill; it is also located on the OC LA border. What do you all think? I will plan more if we get a good feedback on it, if not no big deal. Rough date would be Sunday, August 19th. Let me know!!

We can invite others or just keep it all fit. We need more ppl to chime in on this if the meet is to happen. Need more feedback!!

Im down for all fits but it sucks when only 3 or 4 ppl show. If we include other forums we may have a better time, simply because there will be more ppl to interact with. Just my 2Cents. If we can get a list goin of fit ppl who are game then im down for just fits, but it has to be a list of peeps who are really goin to come.

Agree with everyone so far, parking was a big thing during the beach thing. Specially in the summer, we used to have one for the NSX Club as well, but parking over the years in HB has just gotten too crazy. I think the last couple years we eneded up just having a bbq at someone's house. When the NSX guys do our monthly meet we usually do it at South Coast Acura. The dealership clears out the front of their lot so we can park our NSX's there. There is sometimes a guest speaker from a vendor, pizza, info on upcoming events and such. And basically point at each other's NSX with the usual statement of "when and where did you get that part? How much?" etc etc ...On a rare occasion we make reservations for dinner if enough people are interested. We've gone to Olive Garden, Macaroni Grill, etc....

The key is to set it up far enough in advance, say a month, just to let people work it into their schedule.

Just random 2 cents on things to think about when setting up a meet...

i say fit only.....and one wrx

only reason is because a lot of the "other people" will just stay there and mingle with who they know.....most of us on the Fit forums know a few of us and we've only had a few get togethers to begin with.

yea and if you do decide to go open to all cars just think about those random people that might kill the meet for us.

That sounds good. That would be cool if we could get alot of people and just have a good time. Its so far for me that i have to be sure its worth it to come out there. Itill give us all a chance to get to know each other a bit better, rather than geeken all day on the computer.
And since this is so far in advance, most of us can be a little less stressed about getting the day off.
Count me in (depending on the turn out)
