Tint in LA??

Does anyone have any suggestions on where to get my windows tinted? I don't know anything about having it done and obviously don't know where to go.

Thanks. I'm in WLA. I don't mind driving if it's a good place but closer to home wouldn't be bad either.

I'd like to have the back and passenger side windows done dark and the front side windows done as dark as legally allowed. Those huge windows sure let in the light and heat. I'm hoping it doesn't break the bank but I need to cool down the car.

i got mone done in pasadena. I did 15% done on all the windows until i had 2 get the dam front windows removed b/c i got a ticket for it. California's law states that NO TINT is allowed on the front windows and any percentage is allowed on the back windows. Honestly, i HATE IT. it looks *** w/o the front windows tinted and ima take it back a.s.a.p cuz now that it's summer, the damn car gets HOT in the front and stays cool in the back.

I read last night that no tint is allowed on front windows. I'm shocked because I see people with full on black tint on the front windows all the time. I remember several years ago, the cops would bust everyone who had dark tinted front windows but they seem to be getting away with it more these days.

I think I will still put a light tint on the front and see what happens. I'm older (44) so I may not have as many problems with the cops. My mom told me she recently saw an article that stated you could have the front windows tinted if you have a note from your doctor that you need it for the UV protection. I have a dermatologist who will write out anything I need and I am a pasty white girl so it's reasonable.

Kev - did you end up with a fix-it ticket or a fine? I'm wondering how much the fine would be if I got nailed? I would take the darn thing to court with a note from my doctor. I wonder if it would help if I took in a note from my mommy, also?? Oh, also - how much does it generally cost to get the tint? I have no idea what I'm looking at and want to be prepared.

Tint is just a $10 fix-it ticket. Usually tint is about $150-200 for all the windows
