2015 lugs for 2009 rims on a 2015 fit?
Hello, I am new and still unfamiliar with the layout of this forum. I have been asking in the general 3rd gen about changing out the rims on the 2015 Fit EX for a different rim in an effort to avoid sidewall damage from pot holes. & was eventually referred to this area to ask about wheel specific questions.
After many questions & much research, I been informed that the 2008-2009 steel rims @ 14x5.5, 56.1 bore, 45mm offset should work for 185/70r14 tire size. Will the stock 2015 lugs work, or should I get open ended lugs as a replacement? I will be buying oem rims from 1 or more salvage yards who swear that the rims are in excellent condition.
I am ignorant of these things and am researching them online, but as I hit areas that aren't easy to find, I ask. Thank you for your tolerance and help.

I can't say for certain if the chrome lug nuts from aluminum wheels will fit with the steel wheels or not. "Probably", but not certain.
Just ask the salvage yard for the stock lug nuts that come with the stock steel wheels you are buying. Probably won't even charge you any extra.
Note: Honda uses 'ball seat' style lug nuts instead of the 'tapered seat' most other manufacturers use. Gotta stick with the correct style.

They are two different salvage yards, with the same part listing (2 @ 1 & 2 @ the other) so I'll have to check, but if they are anything like the salvage yard that I called first, they will already have the rims pulled & sitting in a "wheel rack" probably under a big pole barn without walls or similar.
Thanks for the heads up on the ball seat lug nuts.
