Wider tires with stock wheels?

i was looking at something similar as well. My suspicion is you could definitely bump up to says a 195 which looks to open up a world of better tire choices over 185s. I've done that on our old mini bumping up from 195 to 205 without issue.

you say 195 is ok on a 6" yet then you say 185 is as wide as you'll want to go on a 6"

just purchased a set of falken pro g4's for the stock wheels. i went up in width, to the high end of what the rim can handle, 205/50-16. will have them mounted in a few days.
i did the same thing on my previous commuter, and it worked out very well. expecting the same results with the fit.

^205/50 is good as it is close to stock rolling diameter. Nice looking tires.
Depends on the tire. Look at the tire spec to determine the range of rim width that a particular size will work with. Some tires may be able to go up to 205 on a 6" rim while others can not.
