Civic Steelies for Winter?

Civic Steelies for Winter?
My wife's new LX should be here this week, and I'd like to set up the snow tires. From what I can tell by reading other threads, the Fit OEM steel wheels are 15 x 6, 53 mm offset, and 56.1 mm hub center bore. If I just buy the Tire Rack 15 inch steel rims, I get 45 mm offset wheels that will cost me $75 delivered (each).
So I looked at wheel specs for older Civic steel wheels (say, 2003). It looks as though those are also 45 mm offset, with the same center bore and rim width. I could probably pick up used ones locally for a lot less than $75 each, since these are very common.
It appears that the 53 mm offset steel wheels are unique to the new Fit, so they aren't going to be easily available (or cheap) for quite a while.
Is there something I'm overlooking in considering using older Civic wheels for my snow tires? Since Tire Rack is selling 45 mm offset rims, I have to assume that the 8 mm difference in offset is not important.

Thanks. I thought that maybe there was something different about the lug nut profile or something. I'll stop over at my favorite wrecking yard and see what they can find.
Since I have my own (manual) tire machine and (old but accurate) spin balancer, I should be all set.

Yesterday afternoon I picked up the Civic (used) wheels from the junkyard, and yesterday evening we picked up the new Fit (drove it today and I LOVE this car!)
Anyway, this morning I pulled one of the Fit's steel wheels and it's stamped "50", so apparently there's only a 5 mm difference in the wheels. Thought it was 53 mm offset from another post.
