Light wheels

I'm about to pull the trigger on a 2019 EX, probably on Monday. I want to pick up some lightweight wheels for it for better performance and efficiency. The only site that I've found that consistently lists the weight of the wheels is Tire Rack. The best I can do with the OEM width is the Sparco Assetto Garas at 14 pounds. Anyone else have lighter wheels that they've used? Trying to keep it under $150 each if possible.

14 pounds is pretty darn lite especially for that price. Hybrid Civic wheels are light but not sure what they weigh. Can probably find a used set locally.

I looked at the RPF1s, but they're the wrong width, which I'm pretty sure means I'd have to get new tires too, which pushes the total up over a grand easily. I was hoping to spend less than that. Thanks for the suggestion though, it did lead me to another site that has wheel weights, so I might find something better there.

I think I'm gonna end up going with Velox Apex 15" wheels at 13 pounds. Going to require new tires too, but what are you going to do?

I'm little like resurrecting an old thread, but I think this continues the story.

I have found some lightweight (less than 10 lbs) wheels in size 15x6.5, but what would be the lightest wheels in original 15x6.0 size? Volk TE37 was under 9 lbs, but it's discontinued.

I imagine Racing Hart CP035 are probably about as light as it gets.

but they’re long discontinued.

Does Volk still make a 15” CE28?

Thank you!

It seems Volk CE28N 8 spoke is available in 15x6 ET 45. Sounds good for GK5, however for some reason manufacturer states it to be suitable for Fit GE only. It is advertised as lightweight, but there is no weight on manufacturer's pages. Elsewhere in the internet I found 8.44 lbs (3.83 kg). Sounds good!

CE28N is also available in 15x5.5 ET 45, which is even lighter at 7.72 lbs (3.5 kg). This would be perfect for 185/60R15 tyres. Narrower rim would be better protected by the tyre.

Can’t go wrong with a Konig imo. Most of their flow formed line comes in under 15 lbs. I have Konig Dial Ins in a 15x7 and they were just over 11 lbs each. Konig flow formed is also pretty affordable.

Konigs are decent, I'm curious how well the flow formed wheels are holding up on track honestly.

I've been hooked on the Advanti Racing Storm S1s personally. 15x7s with a +35mm offset at 10.6lbs shipped from Good-Win-Racing at 130 bucks? Yes please. ^.^

yeah I mean I’ve only had them on for daily driver duty but they’ve held up really well to daily abuse. I remember reading an article before I bought them of someone who used Konig’s for a season of track duty and had a lot of praise for them haha. I did look at the Advanti’s as well back when I was searching for wheels

I could not find any Konig or Advanti Racing Storm Si wheels in 15x6 size. Are there any?

Enkei RPF1 is also pretty light at 9.65 lbs (4.38 kg), but it is 15x7.

My intention is not racing but to keep the weight/power-ratio down in daily driving for fun factor. I also prefer ET (offset) close to original 53 mm if possible.

Were you able to find something that fits your needs? I'm pretty much in the same quest to find a similar set up.

I wanted 6 inch too, but didn't find any that were light enough to bother with. Which is weird.

Also.

If you get new wheels.

CHECK TO MAKE SURE YOUR LUG WRENCH WORKS!!!!!!!

If you want to know why I say that, I had a flat 3 hours from home just after close for tire places on a Saturday. That was an awful adventure.

+1
I really want to stay with a 15x6 or 15x6.5 (at most) setup to retain the current tires I'm running.
The only wheel that seems to fit the mark is the RWC 395 black wheels.
So far the reviews from those who've mounted them on various vehicles seem to like them
RWC HO395 BLACK 15x6.0 4x100 ET45 CB56.1 - RW539560B4004556.1 (canadawheels.ca)
The main reason I like them are:
-15x6
-56.1mm center bore ( no need for centering rings)
-decent price.
I dislike them because:
-probably a flow-formed wheel (questionable durability)
-no posted weight on the internet

I also want to be able to maintain a light wheel and tire combo.
Currently running Acura EL wheels which are kinda dopey looking.
