Ktuner question
Say you mentioned the civic guys get their throttle fixed with ktuner but not us. Why is that? Can I make my own tune and adjust throttle response, or is that part of the ECU not accessible for Fit ecus?

I would ask ktuner for some insight on that 2nd question. if you could find a means of increasing pedal response via a ktuner.... you'd be a legend

tiny update.... removed the TI exhaust and went back to the Bisimoto Pulse Chamber exhaust
call me crazy but.... I feel like the Bisi has more power, acceleration feels peppy again. when pressing down on the gas pedal, the car seems to have more low end .... could it be my imagination?

taking fender to ground/ride height measurements, prior to installing new coilovers:
drivers side front - 22 inch
drivers side rear - 23 1/8 inch
passenger side front - 22 1/8 inch
passenger side rear - 23 3/8 inch

New Tein Street Advance Z Coilovers are on. As always, impressions/review to follow after a few days. For now, here are some pictures, and a much needed discussion
For the install, I followed Tein's instructions as best as I could. Here are the big items to take note of:
-Fronts = 35mm gap between bottom of Spring Perch to Alignment Tab on the ADJ Tube
-Rears = 44mm gap between bottom of Spring Perch to whatever the section is called that's 44mm above
-Ride Height = from fender to center of wheel cap, about 13 inch (give or take half an inch)
-Damper = turned all the way stiff/clock wise, then turn back 6 clicks down/counter click wise
-Followed Assembly Diagram for the Fronts as depicted in manual
-Followed Assembly Diagram for the Rears as depicted in manual, with ONE exception = BUSH -> Body -> BUSH seems to apply to GE8's. GK5's appear to only have 1 "bush" (will add photos to illustrate)

NOW .... I'm not sure if its a deal breaker to follow the way the GE8's are set up, but to be safe I went ahead and ordered #7

@evilchargerfan for the OE Honda rear shocks, that piece is necessary due to the working length of the rod (and also for ride quality on choppy pavement). If you put in the OE shocks without that piece, the shock will likely bottom out too quickly, without the urethane damper (inside) and the cylinder, which also acts as a lowering extension of the top mount point at the chassis. The total working length of the GE shocks is shorter, due to the lower-sitting chassis mount for the shock. They will work as-is in the GK, but you will have less effective droop of the axle. Also, you can't use the GK part on the GE shocks, as it would shorten working length of the GE shock on the GK chassis, which would induce some bad snap oversteer effects when the shock bottoms out too soon.
Hope this makes sense, it is hard to describe without photos. I learned all this by trying (and failing) to fit GK OE shocks on a GE, and put both cars up on jackstands and started measuring things.

*** REMEMBER, THIS IS NOT SCIENTIFIC/ACCURATE ... JUST MY PERSONAL THOUGHTS/EXPERIENCE ***

Conclusion = The Electronic Throttle Controller has an impact on mpg's. I've found that keeping my TPS (throttle position sensor) on my Scan Gauge at/around or under 20 makes for good mpg. A device like a Pedal Commander, makes that near impossible as the pedal is much more sensative.
The most recent fill ups have experienced a slight upward trend (35.3 -> 35.7 -> 36.7 -> 38.3) when the Pedal Commander was turned off. At this point, I'm not sure how to proceed and what to recommend to others. I love the heck out of my MPG's, but the Pedal Commander really made the car a joy to drive.
I guess the best I can say is:
RECOMMENDED = for those who want a fun, responsive, "fast feeling" car
Not Recommended = for those who care about mpg's
- 1st group, 16 fill ups = 36.4 mpg avg. the car was in its most basic form. ie, no ktuner, no pedal commander, etc. towards the end of the chart, I was able to achieve 41.9 mpg once thanks to the magic of a "scan gauge 2" and insane hyper mile effort on my behalf. 34 mpg being my WORST. things trended upward as I slowly learned how to drive the car, in a gas efficient manner
- 06/22/18 = Important Changes To Car:
-Bisimoto Pulse Chamber Exhaust
-Konig Dial In Wheels - 15x7 (light weight) - 2nd group, 30 fill ups = 36.9 mpg avg. car now runs a ktuner, no pedal commander. ignore that huge DIP to 27 mpg, that was due to excessive ac usage/idling in Vegas, and valet guys flooring it ... smh. 36 mpg was the worse otherwise. a clear upward trend
- 07/08/2018 = Important Changes To Car:
-Oil Change
-Techron Fuel Inj Cleaner Bottle - 3rd group, 40 fill ups = 36.0 mpg avg. Mpg is all over the place, mainly because I was testing out the Pedal Commander in City mode, vs City -4, City -2, etc. The the take away from this dip in mpg is, the Electronic Throttle Controller made it hard to keep the throttle position low, and as a result, MPG's tanked big time. It did make the car super fun and responsive though! Perhaps the Intake, and other mods played a role?

Will be lowering the fronts just a little. Took some before measurements:
Drivers side:
fender to ground = 23 1/2
fender to wheel cap = 12 7/8
Passenger side:
fender to ground = 23 3/4
fender to wheel cap = 13 1/4
I didnt want to "over do it", so for now, lowered the collars by 10 mm
