Time for First Service. Advice, Please.

Some off you may now that my Fit I the first car I've owned in almost 40 years. Consequently I am getting a little anxious about my first service next week, and I'd like some of your thoughts on how not to get screwed.

My car is one year old soon, and because we're retired and live in a very walkable town, it only has 4K miles on it. So it's going in for its A1 service because it's been a year.

I'm thinking I send a short e-mail to my Service Advisor (I know him from purchase and the bumper upgrade) that simply says I am confirming the A1 service and understand that comprises an oil change and tire rotation, period. Also that I have the dealer documentation that it will be free.

Any other ideas?

At this point, no.

Due to the low annual mileage, it would be wise to request documentation of any future MM codes for your records, before they reset it. Because your maintenance will be based on time not mileage.

But at 4K there won't be, aside from the A1.

Thank you, Carbuff2. I was told they may not rotate the tires, so I agree that I'll need to figure out what the intervals are going forward.

Unfortunately my thread was moved, which is always a graveyard on this forum, unfortunately. But at least you helped!

It was a piece of cake. The oil and filter were changed, the car was inspected for all of its fluids and various bits, the tires were rotated, and the car washed. All for $22.53.
