in terms of location, the vid and write seem off? or is it just my perception of camera angle?

It's located on the transmission pan, in front of the drain plug towards the middle. You will need a funnel with a hose to get to it from above. Easy Peasy..

Very simple. On my 2017. There's a drain plug with the 3/8 square drive. There's a weep/fill/check plug that is 17mm on the opposite side, higher up. What I did was remove the air box, drained the fluid, removed the check plug, removed the rubber plug on top of the trans, reinstalled the drain plug and filled from the top beneath the air box until fluid came out of the check hole. 3.6 quarts. When it slowed, I reinstalled the 17mm check plug. Think of it as a differential. Next time I'll fill from the check plug until it starts coming out like a diff; not removing the airbox again.
