Front pads and rotors

Getting ready to do my front brakes. I didn't find a thread specific to this procedure. Does anyone have information I would need, like torque specs, etc.? Thanks in advance.
I plan on buying new rotors.
On second thought, maybe I can just swap out the pads.
Thoughts?

Mileage? Rotors generally last you like 1.8x the pads, making it a tossup the first time.

Just about 80,000. Guess I'll just have to see what they look like. I'm careful not to overheat them.

Rotors are cheap. They're $40 each where I live. Get an impact driver to get the little phillips looking screw out of the rotor. There isn't a need to reinstall that little screw, its meant to hold the rotor in place on the assembly line.

If I recall correctly my 2015 Fit didn't even have them on both rotors. You can often get them out with the correct size bit, and a breaker bar. I'm not sure what kind of head they have. What looks like a Philips head may be some other kind, a Japan something or other kind of head.

Japanese Industry Standard (JIS)? I doubt it's necessary for brake rotor set screws. Especially when replacements are easy to find if you round one out. I just never tighten them past snug and I always add some anti-seize to the threads first. They always come out with little to no force like that.

Yup. However I have a 2015 Fit and I've never removed the screw or screw, so I think I am going to get a set of JIS screwdriver tips in 1/4 inch hex drive (that fit into a 1/4 inch socket)! Plus maybe some bigger sizes that fit into a larger socket. Not expensive. Nice to have.
