HKS exhaust on 2018 sport model
I cant seem to find any information or pictures anywhere. Does the single exit exhausts clear the sport rear bumpers? Mostly interested in the HKS exhaust. Is anyone running the exhaust with the sport model? Can only find pictures of base model cars.

Rear bumpers between sport and EX have the same part number. The only difference is the center diffuser piece. Exhaust is the same except the EX has a down turned tip, where the sport has an actual exhaust tip to locate it within the cutout of the diffuser. If you look at this side by side you can see the muffler exit is at the same point. HKS website has some comments about changes for 2017+ needing the OEM rubber piece to install, but i'm assuming they are only worried about JDM bumpers anyway: https://www.hks-power.co.jp/en/produ...ffler/db/15573
Sorry, I know that doesn't give you enough to make a decision. I'm worried if the HKS will even fit a 2018 EX. At least the sport has the cutout in the diffuser so there's additional room for the exhaust tip to go.

Yea the diffuser maybe sticks out 3/4 to 1in up top from the bumper cover. From the looks of it hks makes it to fit past the jdm bumper that’s problly why it fits the usdm bumper. Now add the diffuser + big ass usdm bumper and who knows. I dont want to be the quinine pig cause the muffler I want is almost double the hks’s price tag

Hi,
I am actually running the HKS exhaust on my sport model. One of the mount is turned a different direction from the previous model. Once the exhaust was on it did not line up with the exhaust cut on the defusers. It hung below and to the right of it. I had to bend one of the exhaust mount and had to created a new way to mount it up. Now it lines up perfectly with the cut out but exhaust is still sunk in. I had it on for about 1k with no problems.

Not much luck. Might have to just buy one and find out. There was some good replies previously posted here in this thread. I also have cvt. Says it wont fit but i dont see how that makes a difference.

I read elsewhere that the reason it says it doesn't fit CVT is that it was not tested in Japan that way. Only with 6MT.
Additionally, check the Bisimoto Pulse Chamber thread. A member had an issue with the sport setup and that exhaust, so if I were you I would plan to need to modify the hangers.

I did see where a dude said the HKS was a little too quiet and he wished he had gone with something with a bit more growl.

I'm referring to the guy with a 2018 Sport saying the Bisimoto doesn't bolt in. So i'm assuming there must have been some change in hanger orientation, and it may affect the HKS as well.
Looking at vehicle fitment from Honda, the exhaust part number is the same for 2015-2018 on LX and EX (18307-T5R-305). The 2018 sport has a different number, which we knew because it exits at a different point and has a tip. So I'm just wondering if the hangers are different, which is what is causing people issues.

I was just trying to stitch together some pictures to understand if maybe the only difference was the use of a tip on the sport vs down turned on the other models.
*shrug* my internet detective work won't give us the answers. I just meant to say that the sport muffler and non-sport muffler are different part numbers, and sport has only existed for 2018, so people need to be careful. Luckily we now have a guinea pig that will post all the important information. Looking forward to your findings.

That guy with the bisimoto on his 2018+ contacted me. hes having a hard time hosting pictures.... I asked him to post up pics of the oem exhaust side by side with the bisimoto. If he replies, I'll host the images for him, and post up. By the sounds of it .... 2018+ have new hangers/mounts .... we'll see

I have an HKS exhaust on order for my 2019 Fit Sport with CVT. If you can wait, I will provide pics and post feedback when I get and install it.
