Smile Question RE: 51R battery Retrofit.

My 2015 (Bought September 2014) just past the 3 year mark (still under 36K though) and of course the Battery is dead. I have done some reading here on putting in the 51R which sounds like a good upgrade to me. The question is I paid for the extended warranty, 100K bumper to bumper and I do know that Batteries are not something that falls into the warranty requirements but I am wondering if I put the 51R in will that void the extended warranty? I've heard some horror stories about warranties be declined due to "modifications" even some related to body add ons. Am I wasting time worrying about it since like most insurance companies will use any excuse to keep from paying, or should I go with the 151R just in case?

Any thoughts on this will be appreciated.

Any warranty denial blaming a modification must show that the modification is what caused the issue. I very much doubt a battery will cause any issues or void any warranty.

Thanks Sneefy I'm definitely leaning towards the upgrade.
Just worried because a friend bought a new Ford truck with extended warranty, and even had the dealers authorized provider put a flatbed on it. Tranny went out after factory warranty and he was told no warranty because the original bed was not still on it and he could have exceeded the load rating. He is still fighting them.
I'm thinking if the head unit goes out on the Honda or some other electronics fail they would say it was because the battery had too many amps over the original, them again your probably right I would make them prove it.

Also I do know from my career background that electrical devices only draw as many amps as the load requires so there is that.

Seems to me your Poll is asking two very different questions...
