If I go to Panera, Jersey Mike's, Potbelly or any other typical fast food restaurant that doesn't have a dollar menu, it's going to cost me $10 to eat. I usually keep my cars for 5 years so that $100 for floor mats is $20 a year, two trips for fast food per year or approximately less than $2 per month to actually have something that fits my car correctly. Then I don't have to worry about it maybe getting bunched up under my brake or accelerator pedal and potentially causing an accident.
It's all priorities. I'm pragmatic. I don't have issues with buying stuff that will make my car function better in regard to handling or even in regard to how floor mats fit my car. I don't buy superfluous stuff like colored LED's for my interior, vinyl graphics, or plastic dip to paint parts of my car. That being said, I earn my own money, I'll spend it how I choose. You or anyone else who earns their own money, can spend it how they choose.

i run husky liners on my wife's GK in the winter time. perfect fit and wasnt too expensive on amazon. unless your car came with floor mats, don't bother getting the factory ones. They do not last very long and coverage is pretty terrible.

Reasonable Price, is what makes this difficult.
With floormats, liners...I don't think you are paying a "reasonable" amount in relationship to the materials involved.
What you are paying for is the convenience and the final product.
Since I think it can be a safety issue, I would highly recommend getting a custom fit option. Mats designed to be used specifically with your vehicle.
I have the OEM all weather mats. And I would say coverage is poor in comparison to other aftermarket custom fit options.
But...for my usual degree of usage...abuse...they are perfectly acceptable. I'm usually NOT getting in my vehicle with muddy boots, sand or extreme gunk.
But if you do a lot of hiking, hunting or activities that are likely to expose your vehicle to unwanted elements?
Then I think the priorities should be #1. Safety...correct fit, #2. Coverage and protection.
And to get these, you might not be able to get reasonable price? Might take some patience and hunting around.
