MP3 music files randomly stopping, then restarting.
2017 LX- MP3 music files randomly stopping, then restarting.
There was no mechanic on duty when I bought my car today, so have to return (60 miles away) on Saturday.
Verified that it was not my files by playing them in another car with no problems.
Thinking it may be an intermittent cable.
Anybody else had this problem and can tell me what caused it?
Thanx, Alan

Don't really have any experience w/ MP3s in the car since I mainly stream music, but I saw discussions where people talked about filename lengths and how many folders you're using. You could try to shorten names, and not have as many nested folders. Also are you running off an iPhone or Android, or just USB drive? Could be a firmware issue w/ your device etc.

My weird audio problem is that sometimes the unit (2016 LX) just freaks out and blasts static at high volume. Can't make it stop with any of the controls on the radio. I have to shut the car off and turn it back on. It only seems to happen when playing MP3s from a USB drive or when streaming through bluetooth. Hasn't happened yet when playing the radio. It's like the software gets confused and makes the radio crash. Previously, that wasn't too big of a deal to reset, but Tuesday it happened in the interstate between exits. I had to pull over on the shoulder to power down the car, and pull back onto the highway. I'm thinking of installing a separate switch to allow me to kill power to the head unit.
