Question Sunroof Rust

Has anybody noticed any issues with rust on the sunroof frame? Mine is starting to show a bit of rust at the front right corner and front middle of the frame that surrounds the sunroof glass. This isn't on the roof itself, only on the sunroof frame. Any suggestions on an easy fix and ideas to prevent further issues?

I'm at 41k miles, so the only warranty I have left covers engine and possibly trans.

if u can sand and paint it dat would be best, if not i would remove the rust da best u can (sand, metal polish, etc) and apply a light coat of oil.

if the part makes contact with any seals, use electronic contact grease as dey will not destroy plastics and rubber. GL

^Ya, if it's the sliding panel that's become rusted you can take it out of the car and prep/paint it in a better environment

Thanks for the feedback! Looks like I'll be pulling the sunroof out sometime in the future for a little sand and paint as well as making sure it gets a good coat of wax whenever I wax the car. The seems to be starting around the seal, so I'm gonna take that loose as well and wondering about putting some additional caulking in there to help it seal better.
