tirerack.com

I never bought tires online before. Are you satisfied with tirerack.com's service? Had any troubles? I'm thinking about buying snow tires and steel wheels from them. I live too far from one of their distribution centers so I have to have the tires shipped.

Ordered 2 sets of wheels + tires combos, a set of tires, and a set of shocks/struts. Didn't received anything damaged though packaging is not the best. They also don't do a very good job cleaning the lube off the tires, but it's whatever. Overall, didn't have any issues with tirerack. I also ordered tires from Home - Discount Tire Direct, didn't have any issues.

Like JinKisaragi, I've ordered from both and haven't had any issue. Just one set from each. I'm going to try Tirebuyer.com on the next set, they have free shipping on some of their tires so would end up cheaper for me.

I like the fact that they road-force balance all the wheel/tire combos they sell. If you are just getting tires (and having one of their installers mount them) I'd check the shop out before purchasing. That service can vary.

Good suggestion. I like their free shipping, too bad TireBuyer is out of stock of Michelin Ice-X3 and won't get more this winter.

I have used Tire Rack for about 15 years. They are great. If you order a wheel and tire combo they will mount and balance them before shipping. Also they will supply for free all new matching lug nuts for those wheels.

Good experience with Tire Rack. Also getting the tires mounted and balanced is sweet. Makes a new tire and rim Bolt on and ready to go when they arrive.

Tire Rack is truly impressive. I ordered my winter tires on wheels and they arrived the next day, in a snow storm! The paperwork, including rebate promotion application, arrived the following business day.

I have bought two sets from them and have been very pleased. The quality of their balancing is also exceptionally good. I would add that a lot of local shops will match their prices, which might save you money over paying shipping charges.

Got my wheel/tire combo from tire rack recently. Satisfied with the entire process and price. Unfortunately the balance of all 4 were way off, resulting in a noticeable vibration in the steering wheel and chassis which increased with speed on the highway. I took my car to discount tire where they corrected the issue for free, so I'm not that upset, but tire rack's mounting/balancing is not flawless.

Like all the others have posted, TR is a great company. However, I primarily use them as my tire library and over the many years, have found the same tire for less elsewhere. There are lots of on line tire sellers now and many have recurring money back specials on top of what the manufacturer's rebate is; sometimes free shipping too. Your neighborhood Discount Tire store will match or beat on line prices so you no longer have to worry about where your tires will be shipped from/to. As always, it can pay handsomely to shop around.

Another 2 thumbs up for TireRack -- been using them off/on for decades. Never a problem. Always happy with the value.
