Any upgrades you regret?

Dash cams really appeal to me, but damned if I want a charger cord dangling from the window to the "power port". already occupied by the Garmin GPS sitting in a cup older. Looked at the Rexing website and there is a battery powered dash cam posing a real review mirror. Has anyone here actually used one of the faux mirrors?

I've routed the power cable down the side pillar, behind the glove box and through the center console. It's barely visible.

Sorry, Homey don't do no cable routing. The "mirror" V1 appears to be self-contained and battery powered, unlike the rest of the V1 line. It looks like a more elegant solution for the EX Fit. 7 inch dash rear view and lane change, 4.3 inch rear view mirror disguised as a cordless dash cam looks perfect to me. Currently out of stock as is my cash.
I thought about getting it for my wife's car since she doesn't have a backup camera. It can add that capability. I'd warn you that the resolution of the rear camera isn't the greatest. It looks similar to the one I had in the V1P and was maybe 480x320

Are you talking about the R1? If so, the battery design is similar to the V1. It's not supposed to be used as the primary source, just as a backup. You'll probably get 2m of use before it dies. It'll need to be plugged in. (FAQs ? Rexing Dash Cam)

To paraphrase Red Skelton's Bad Widdle Boy (dating myself)), "You don't know me very well, do you?" If I take apart something, I'll always wind up with two, three parts left over when reassembling. I am Clumsy Carp, a mechanical disaster looking for a place to happen. But I do know my limitations.

Haha... I hate it when that happens, but some parts are just over-engineered. If nothing else, it saves time taking things apart again.
