Matthew got my Fit

I was doing a walk around the house after the storm passed and when I checked the Fit I found water in the drivers floor board. The leak looks like it came from the sunroof via the left windshield pillar. I called the dealership and it goes in Monday for them to look at. I'm in central Florida and the Fit has seen a lot of rain in the last year with no problem at all but we had hours of 30 mpg wind. .

The Fit is 5.5" off the ground, and with 130mph winds rain might have just gone up and into the car through the bottom. Was there flooding in your area?

Being from Toronto and far from your location I thought the biblical Matthew (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John) had somehow got your car. Heavenly.

I did mean 30 miles per hour. .I live near Ocala Florida in the central part of the state and we were lucky the strongest wind was around 40 to 50 mph briefly with very heavy rain. It's odd that I have driven in heavy rain many times but never had a leak. .The only reason Florida had relativity lght damage is the strongest wind (130) was on the east side of the storm .

Take it to the dealer. I live in Florida and never had any leaks despite several tropical storms.

Oh damn,. sucks to hear man. Water probably came form the bottom if the water level rose that high.

I too was in Orlando for a conference and it was cut short, My flight got cancelled as they shut airports down that Thuerday afternoon. I saw alot of people checking in at the hotel I was staying at off of International Drive.

That Saturday though was hella nice. But there were branches n shit everywhere.

Another possibility is the driver's door weather shield. Even a better chance if you had the door handle bracket recall done. I had a wet floor in the rear after the recall. Apparently some of the service techs aren't' being too careful about reinstalling the weather shield in the doors.

Mine rode out the storm in the garage, because I knew it would be full of water if I left it outside. Two trips to the dealer and they're "unable to reproduce the problem." It's the front passenger side and rear driver side doors. I've taped up the plastic once, but I might need to go in there again. The poor car smells like a wet dog any time it rains.

I got it into Ocala Honda today. There keeping it overnight and gave me a brand new Accord as a loner! So far I'm really happy with them and I'll give yall a update after I get it back. I tried hard to mop up all the water I could and park in the sun to dry out. So far no musty smell. I wish I had the time to really clean it up before I took it in.I try to keep it spotless. .

Had to leave my 2015 Fit LX on a small hill when we evacuated. Two days later we returned, and the Fit was fine. Really hot inside when I entered, but fine.
