Trying to purchase a Fit

I went to the dealer on 12/22. Their listed msrp was around 19300 for the EX. The lowest they would go was 19000. The total was around 20, 796. I did not like the offer. I went in for an LX, but was offer an EX because there was only red in LX. I did not take the offer.

I would be fine with an EX, but the only feature I liked about the EX was the smart entry. The extra features would be useless. While, I understood 19000 was a good deal it was not good enough. Had it been 18500, I would have concluded the deal.

However, they did called recently about a new white LX. It, however, is unreliable because another salesman said they may have a black one. Perhaps, I should call to talk the price before going in? I do not want to go in and couldn't reach an amount I would be willing to pay.

I started my search in June 2015 for a FIT LX manual transmission. Contacted several dealers. Only one, 200 miles away, actually started searching for me. Took five months, but finally will be getting my FIT on Monday. That is, if an ice storm does not materialize. The dealer is delivering the vehicle to my home, weather allowing. Otherwise, will just wait a few days.

Wow. Five months is a long time to wait. Did they charge you any extra for finding the right vehicle for you?

Nope. Nor are they charging me for delivering the vehicle to my home. Terrific dealer. Fox Honda of Grand Rapids.
