Piece of Plastic in Rear Wheel Well: What is it?
2016 Fit, Canadian base LX model. I have a "Z" shaped piece of plastic in the rear wheel well, just forward of the rear wheel, on both sides. The plastic is flexible and bolted into the frame with one bolt and one push connector. It is strong, and reinforced with ridges. What is it? What is it's purpose? I have no wheel well liners.

Honda calls it a "strake" and it's #14 and 15 here Toronto Honda Parts - Parts List
They pretty much deflect some air away from the tire, it's more aerodynamic than letting the tire plod its own way thorough the air.
Check out a CRV theirs are a quite a bit longer but IDK if they would attach to a different car easily.

They are standard from the factory, but might be installed after the dealer gets the car, to prevent injury while on the transport, cos they hang low. They are not an accessory. My Insight has them under the front bumper at the wheel opening. Yes they help with the under car aerodynamics. Clearance... Well, you can't go driving over curbs, and most automotive lifts will scrape the snot out of them, other than that you don't notice they are there...
