new feature?

Whats up my fellow fit friends Lol. Newbie here, so i just picked up a 15 Honda fit Lx 6spd Manual. So far its been good to me (2 days). Any ways so yesterday I was exiting the freeway and when i was on the incline I was holding the brakes, and when the light turned green i let go of the brakes yet the car didnt roll back. It was like the brake was still holding the car to prevent me from rolling back and as soon as either i touched the gas or the clutch engaged, i cant remember which one, the brakes released. Now my question is, is this a feature or do i need to take my car in for a check up?

Yes, a feature. It is in the manual pg 316 for US models.
■ Hill start assist system
Hill start assist keeps the brake engaged briefly to help prevent the vehicle from
rolling on inclines as you move your foot from the brake pedal to the accelerator
.
