Radio Data System (RDS) Display of station call letters and song title
It seems as if I am learning something new about my radio almost every other day, and I've owned my 2015 Fit EX for almost six months now.
Like some other owners, I was under the impression that the radio should sometimes display station call letters and the name of the song being played, if the station has RDS capability. Searching the Fit Freak site I found this thread:
https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/3rd-generation-gk-specific-fit-i-c-e-sub-forum/84813-radio-not-showing-station-name-other-information.html
Using the flow chart provided, I looked at my radio. I believe the thread said to start with "menu" and then follow the flow instructions. But mine didn't appear to follow that flow.
Instead of starting with "menu" after putting the radio on an FM station, I had to proceed this way to enable RDS:
Home → Settings → Audio → RDS Info (press ON), then press OK.
Hope I got this right in case anyone else wants to try this method to enable RDS in their Fit EX. Remember, the station has to have RDS capability to work.
