Towing?

I would like to know if any or many have towed a MYPOD trailer or Little Guy trailer with their FIT? If yes I would like to get some more information on tow hitch and pros and cons?

Thanks for the reply in advance

Do a search of my threads I've done extensive writeups of towing my 5x8 utility trailer that weighs 875 pounds empty. I tow anywhere from a few hundred up to 800 pounds cargo. My limit is 1k with the Fit. The trailer can handle 2k With the custom mods i have. Got 10" trailer brakes, 3500lb axle, and a full 7 way harness

FWIW, I've looked at both of the trailers you list and they are SLICK. VERY, VERY, VERY cool little rigs.

Those trailers really take advantage of every nook and cranny. Lightweight, aerodynamic and pretty upscale for the size. Very nice.

Yes they do, but at packages starting around 5-6k for the size of them I call Shenanigans. I would think the most basic package for just the trailer no add ons, no frills would be about 3 grand. Even used these things are fetching 4-5 grand!

Imagine if a company made enclosure caps for utility trailers, made it easy accessible to buy. One could have a similar sized camping trailer for way cheaper than that.

After all that's said and done, if I had the money to simply blow without a 2nd thought I'd pickup one of those Little Guy trailers in a heartbeat!

For that kind of money I'd rather have an Eriba Puck. Similar weight and you can cook in it if the weather is inclement.

Notice that it's being towed by a real Mini, not the BMW one!

It's amazing what they can fit into such small packages. It seems that Pucks have something of a cult following. I especially like all the vehicles they show towing them. I don't ever recall seeing one on the road here, but then again, when you're not looking for something, you won't see it.

Go to a VW bus campout and you'll likely see several, along with a bunch of vintage Heilite tent trailers, also Fit-towable.
