Turn signal 3 blink feature?
Like the title says. I have a question for everyone especially the ones who have been playing with the hidden settings in the radio.
Like you all know if you tap the turn signal stalk it blinks 3 times and the radio screen turns on the mirror camera. This all happens so fast. 3 blinks fast.
I was wondering if anyone has seen any settings to change this?
Also if any honda techs are out there that may know something we don't know.
I would like to change ours to at least 5 blinks.
Thanks

It's common place anymore. BMW has had it for a number of years. My Ford Fiesta has it! I passed a previous generation FIT over it. Past the most current FIT over it. Glad to se Honda is finally catching up.
I think most vehicles have this feature.
I'm convinced if Honda would polish a turd, most people would buy it.
The FIT is the most overated, overpriced, vehicle on the road

It's a great feature and very convenient to have, most notably for lane changes. I do agree, however, that 3 blinks is not nearly enough. I often find myself activating it a second time. It should blink at least 6 times and would be ideal if it were user programmable as far as setting how many blinks it has. However that would be in an ideal world and I realize that would not be cost effective, especially in a car in this class.

The LaneWatch camera comes on automatically when the turn signal is turned on. It turns off once the turn signal turns off (either immediately or after a 3 second delay - there's an option).
If I push the button on the end of the stalk I can turn on LaneWatch, but not the turn signal. This comes in handy when I want to check what's behind me to the right, but not necessarily ready to merge yet. I don't want to confuse other drivers by signaling and not changing lanes, etc.
I haven't seen anything yet that only turns the signal on for a limited amount of blinks ... Interesting. I guess that would be good for simple lane merge. When you merge you don't turn far enough to turn off the turn signal automatically and have to turn it off manually. I guess it would be nice if it turned itself off then...
So, if I'm understanding you correctly, I think you must be able to change that from just three signals ('cause I don't think I have it set that way on my Fit).

Firefly, when you push your turn signal up or down approx half-way and let go, it will blink 3 times then turn off automatically (make sure you don't push it all the way up or down). The 3 blink feature is not adjustable.

I'll give it a try today.

Especially as your posts are simply rants, and never add value through a constructive critical voice?

Ok, my comment was harsh.
I'm on here to give an unbiased perspective of the FIT. I once considered buying a '13 FIT model. My girlfriend was, and still is, in the market for a new vehicle. Both of us really considered the FIT.
I'm a stickler for researching a vehicle. I want to read the reviews. I want to know owner's perspective. I want to know about features, operations of the vehicle, driving dynamics, ease of operation, stuff like that.
There is alot of people who view this forum who are not FIT owners. Alot of people are on here reseaching the FIT and looking over the reviews. There are numerous threads of people asking about the FIT who are possibly consodering buying a FIT.
I've read the reviews. The experts rave about this vehicle. How and why I don't know??? We both seriouly looked at the FIT. Honda's packing and configurations leave a lot to be desired. Overall, I don't see the quality fit and finish with the FIT.
Little things, like the 3 blink turn signals, annoy me. Basically, those on this forum, are giddy about this feature of the FIT. Another example of how innovative Honda is. No really it's not. I look at things from broader marker overalll. This turn signal feature is quite common and been around awhile. I thought it was fairly common place and featured on vehicles.
There are alot a people here who wanted a small vehicle and bought the new FIT because it was a Honda. Many previous Honda owners. I thing it a fair statement to say alot of FIT owners bought the FIT without any consideration at all for any other vehicle. The FIT and only the FIT was going to be there next vehicle.
I guess I'm one of the few who don't loke the FIT. I just to give my thoughts on the vehicle so potential new car buyers can make a judgement.
At 19k+ for an EX FIT or near 22k for an EX-L fit. I think there is better choices on the market.

Apparently, you have no experience with the Fit. No other car offers the benefits of the Fit for anywhere near the price. I'm including reliability and MPG in that. Just look at the reliability ratings of expensive European cars. Fit has them all beat.

Ah, I tried it. Yes, half nudge up or down and you get the 3-sec blink + LaneWatch camera turns on. Click all the way and the turn signal stays on until turned off by driver or by turning.
Once the LaneWatch camera is on, it follows the camera settings. You can set it to turn off with 0 delay or 2-second delay (not 3 as I wrote above). So I don't know if the extra camera seconds help anybody who wants more time on the 3-blink turn signal option, but I find it helpful. Gives that extra time to check what's there when merging.
FWIW, I spent a lot of time researching cars before purchasing a Fit. I test drove a ton of them. I'm not a lifelong Honda fan. Years ago I had a '93(?) Civic hatchback that gave me problems. So I had all-but-sworn-off Hondas until checking out the Fit. For our needs, it was a close tie between a Fit and a Kia Soul. Fit won due to mileage, flexibility of seats, standard rear-view camera, and LaneWatch camera... And I like having a sunroof. Not sure if I wanted a panoramic sunroof that the Souls have now...

BMWs even do it one better. When you do the turn signal in full for a turn, you basically turn the stalk past the first notch to a second, and then it reverts back to the central, neutral position. The stalk doesn't stay at either the top or bottom of its range. Neat feature, which I'm assuming everyone will have at some point (and Honda will probably be a late adopter, like they are with most technology).
I've had the auto three signal feature on my daily since 2001. You just get used to it; I don't think that it's too short or worthy of hand wringing. If you need more time than that to signal, you're taking too long to change lanes, IMHO.

My point exactly I've been trying to pass along to others considering a FIT for purchase.
The FIT is made out to be Holy grail of all small cars. It's also made out the bench mark at which all other small cars are judged by.
Here we are talking about a feature in the FIT that Honda just now brought to the market that some of know and expect as a common place feature.
It in my current vehicle. Was in my previous vehicle. And apparently has been around for going on 15 yrs now.
And Honda just now is coming around to it???

The problem that I see with your argument, though, is that the core of the Fit is so damn good, and its interior layout so smart and flexible, that it gets great reviews despite lacking in certain areas.
It reminds me of my CRX, which was never a very fast car or blessed with amazing braking, but still a fun car to drive in and flog because the sum of its parts.
