It can pull a small trailer no problem but a 10.000lb with a 2000lb car you are dreaming no matter what brand it is.

What do you think guys?

Can the EarthDreams Engine pull a 10,000 pound camper with this setup?

Or am I dreaming??

A 10,000lb trailer would require a modern half or even 3/4 ton truck to tow. I can't even think of an SUV that is rated for that weight, though there might be a couple. In short your vehicle is at the exact opposite end of the spectrum of what you'd need to tow that weight.

Completely ignoring the vehicle, you don't even have a hitch that is rated for that weight. A class 1 is at best good enough for 2,000 lbs, however your vehicle is not rated for 2000lbs.

You mistakenly purchased a Fit instead of a 3/4 ton giant truck. I could see how that could happen.

Whatever you are smoking...I want some! No fricking way 10k pounds. I have hauled up to 1800lbs gross (trailer weight and cargo weight) and the car is most certainly acceleration challenged, but it does handle it well once up to highway speed and not to mention a trailer with electric brakes and FIT has proportional brake controller installed. Fit is rated up to 2k gross weight with trailer brakes, and 1000 pounds without trailer brakes.

Great points.

Thanks for the input.

I won't attempt it then.

I will stick to a bike rack or small trailer.

I would have liked the 3/4 ton Truck, but they said that the FIT gets a bit better mileage, and in the city where I am I have to cram into spaces daily.

I appreciate this input. I better keep it close to 1000 lbs then.

Installed some DRL's and fog's for my LX model. Also, installed a new cargo cover. Lifts when hatch is opened or closed. Underside lights up when hatch is opened.

Awesome cargo cover Orataro!
How are you attaching the string to the door?

I found these washer type things at work and bent them just enough so that I could loop my cord.

Yeah, made it to match my seat covers.
I also sell a VIP style type one which is a Gloss Black Laminate with cup holders.

I made mine too, it doesn't look nearly as good as yours though! Nice work!

Very nice solution. Sort of how Honda should have designed it in the first place.

Been wanting to add fogs lights to my LX for a while now. Where did you order from? Was installation easy?

Honestly I bought the lights for looks only due to I hated those black grills.

They were bought on eBay and the DRL's are pretty much useless during the daytime. Not bright at all. The fog lights are much better but I changed them to LED's instead of the H8 bulbs that came with them. Installation took me awhile only due to I wasn't in a hurry. Came with two wire harnesses. Hardest one was for the fog lights due to I ended up drilling a hole into the firewall to run the switch.

You could've run the wiring through the existing wire bundle, instead of drilling.

Yeah, I could have but the wire harness is so far up into the dash I didn't want to deal with it. I simply cut the wire to the switch and drilled a small 1/4" hole in the lower foot well area and reconnected the switch.

Preparing for next year's car show season. My crude mock up of my VIP table for the Gen3. Just working out the details on mounting it. The table it self will differ in design once completed. A rear center console with armrest for the passengers in the rear is also in the works. Please note, this item is intended for show or off road use only.

I hand washed my car for the first time yesterday. I've owned it two years, and have always run it through a touchless wash up to this point.
