I might go out tonight in the rain and play with radio and basic commands.
Have a Blast Neros. I moved from my totaled 2008 to Loki-chan, and still find it to be quite an entertainment system. I have to go back to the owner's manual to re-discover cool features, and of course things continue to pop up on the Fitfreak posts. Enjoy!

I've always hated how the rear trunk has that foam to take up so much of the potential storage space. Here's my prototype solution. I plan to use Diamond Plate in the future.

Installed this a bit ago but couldn't get the pictures to upload. Found this as an open box deal on Amazon. $200 shipped to Hawaii was a steal. Car has a totally different sound which is slightly more throaty and less whiny. worth is just for the sound.

I redid the trunk storage, so this is version 2. I used a thicker and stiffer wood.

it's all relative, right? I got my door edge guard, the cargo cover, and the blue footlamps installed today. I like the cargo cover, the door edge guard is fine - but the blue footlamps look wimpy! It was daylight, though, so I cannot expect much until this evening. Then maybe they will be fun.
NOW I AM DECIDING about window tinting. Price I got for 5 is 180 for a 25% and 350 for a 45%. Of course the guy recommends the 45%. Then, too, he has a ceramic windshield one which he says is the most important. Nothing on windshield is legal in California, but, he said, he's never known anyone to get a ticket on one (it's real light) and if you DO get a ticket it's a "fixit" ticket - so you just have it removed.
Any recommendations about tinting? Sure would be nice to pay only 180 rather than 350. The windshield one is 200.

Whoa - saw the blue interior lights at night. Beyond subtle. So subtle it's a good thing I knew they were installed. It is the faintest of glows, wow is it faint. If my Sketcher shoes didn't have bright white soles on them, I am not sure I could even SEE the blue. I guess the cheap-o ones you buy on Amazon and install yourself are more prominent. I didn't trust myself on an electrical install, however.

I drive into the sun on the way to and from work. The clear windshield tint is critical to keeping comfortable on the drive, especially with the cars wimpy AC.

The tint changed the light reading 1-2%. Basically if I didnt tell you it was tinted then you wouldn’t know. I did the side windows with the standard 35% which is whats legal here

Update:

I cannot recommend the Sirius 4th Gen LED conversion kit. I bought on 01/19/2015. One of the headlights began to flicker around June of 2015. Sirius (Cali based) sent a free replacement. Fast forward to end of Sept of 2015, the other LED module fails flickering. Sirius sent another free replacement. Haven't sent back any of the defective ones at all FYI. last night driving home and now the first replaced LED module is flickering. I'm like what the hell!?

So I took the bad unit apart. I'm guessing a combo of cheap Taiwan based parts, and a lack of adequate thermal compound to heat sink the LED chip to the H4 housing.

At this point, I'm so tempted to get the Phillips ZES kit and see if they perform any better. Two replacement units in a little over a year is a sign of bad quality control.

Installed a Fiamm hi tone horn, which is nothing. But got a pic of the front with the lower grill "rolled" out of the way.

today I got these two pillow I ordered from Amazon
Amazon.com: Sunward 2pc Leather Car Seat Pillow Car Headrest Auto Safety Pillow -Better Neck Support and Sleeping! Best Pillows for Kids! (black): Arts, Crafts & Sewing Amazon.com: Sunward 2pc Leather Car Seat Pillow Car Headrest Auto Safety Pillow -Better Neck Support and Sleeping! Best Pillows for Kids! (black): Arts, Crafts & Sewing
they are PERFECT -- so nice I ordered a second set. I put one behind my head on the headrest where there is that space. Perfection. I put the other around the console arm which is too low. Now it is perfect. The band on the back keeps them both steady. The second set of pillow will be - one for the passenger side and one for my desk in the office.
Not much compared with what the rest of you do, but nice! the pillows are quality and fit just right.

Thanks for the link. I ordered one. Looks like shipping it here will take a while but that's OK. I'm in no hurry.

How difficult was it to remove the lower grill like this? Did you break any clips doing it this way? I have been wanting to upgrade my horn but removing the whole bumper cover is a bit of a hassle.

I'm looking to add a Fiam hi and low tone horn, using the OEM horn as the trigger to the relay. Can you disconnect the OEM horn without disassembling the lower grill?

I'll be taking power from a new circuit for the horn, so only need the OEM as the trigger. I'm leaving it in place.
