Installed warm white LED lamps in the interior. Not fond of the cool white and found these that are a great match to stock.



Slightly brighter than stock with a similar color. $6.99 for 20 bulbs is a good price too.

A little brighter, and less of a power drain on the battery are a couple of reasons to swap them out. Hopefully they will last a lifetime too.

 

Can you take a video of your Spoon N1 exhaust? I am thinking of getting one as well.

After coming across the interior LED conversion thread I decided to give it a go. Added white LEDs to the front cabin, cargo area, and license plate. I added a blue LED above the rear seats and have it set so that's the only one that turns on when the door is open. I initially tried the blue in the front as well but as you'd expect, it was very impractical.

Now I am searching for an exhaust.

After purchase (8/14), I started out thinking that a relatively upright position for the driver's seat was best, providing kind of a 'perky' posture. During the past year, I have experienced extended back-sensitive periods (part of a long history), and found that letting the seat tilt further back surprisingly gave relief. Since my retirement, my still-working wife and I have been sharing our Fit more frequently, and whenever I take my next turn and sit in the drivers seat, I feel like an anchovy, although the seat position is as always as far back on the front-to-rear track as possible. I then immediately resume the 'bad-back' seat tilt position, and it immediately provides comfort, and at least a perceived increase in leg room. I'm sure this will not suit all of those having leg-room issues, but I am 5'10.5", and have driven comfortably from Atlanta to North Dakota and back, in 500 to 600 mile segments. I am wondering if 'doing this to your Fit today' may introduce an avenue to greater driving comfort for some of those drivers feeling leg-room restricted.

 

Installed a Ecogard XC36080 cabin air filter since I'm at around 18500 miles. Looking to do the oil/filter change, air filter and tire rotation this weekend since the maintenance came on at 15% (B1). I might not do the air filter yet because it didn't look very dirty, but the cabin air was filthy.

 

I changed the oil and filter and decided that I might as well do the air filter since I drive in dusty areas with a lot of diesel trucks. I used these ramps I recently got on sale and they worked great (http://www.harborfreight.com/magnum-8tm-auto-ramp-set-with-built-in-safety-chock.html). I also had a floor jack on one of the jack points just in case since this the first time using these ramps. Can't ever be to safe.

Rotated the tires and changed all the wiper inserts. Since we had a rare upper 50* January, I washed the car. It really needed a good wash. Touchless washes just don't get the grime out.

 

Snow tires went on this morning. Finally looks like Winter here in the Middle West!

Relatively new owner of a '15 Fit EX, manual, red.

Slapped on a Perrin 2" stubby antenna to replace, well nothing (we apparently didn't get one when we bought it). Also put in Sylvania ZXE headlights and foglights. Mrs. Done Deal was complaining about the brightness of the factory lights. It's been a while since we've had a car with halogen headlights, and I'm sure these still won't come close to matching the brightness of the HID's that's in our other car. If anything, they are certainly whiter than the factory lights, but if she's still complaining I might need to look into getting some nice HID's retrofitted in.

 

Well, I finally picked up my fit over the weekend, and ordered some husky floor mats for the front and rear seats, which came on today so I installed them. Also got a generic cut-to-fit cargo mat, and a little trash can. Then, I was wanting a box of some sort for the back to keep loose items in, and spotted the box that we got Christmas presents in from some friends from Japan. It's got some nice little graphics on it, and Japanese characters and such, and it's a sturdy box, so I thought what better use for a Japanese box but to live in the Japanese car?

 

Same here in the north east. CT is starting to get dustings, but no major storms yet. At first report of a storm, the snow tires go on my Fit too. Trying to hold off as snow tires have softer rubber and dry pavement tends to wear them out faster than all seasons.

 

I finally mounted the Mugen side skirts I ordered back in November. Minor modding and heat gun needed to make it slide on.

 

I bought some t10 sockets for 194 bulbs at the local autoshop and decided to wire up an ambient light setup for the front foot wells. I'll get to the rear ones on another day.

Custom bracket made with old drum parts and zip ties. Plugged into pin 5 on the accesories connector for ambient lights. Red fuse is connected to the fog light switch so they only come on when the headlights are on. Orange fuse is for the ambient kit I wired.


Didn't have to modify the existing opening under the glovebox.


Ran a long bolt and attached two L connectors for picture frames to make a custom bracket for the socket


Final product. Cool part is I can change the colors when I get bored.

 

Well, went in to the dealership for the recall on the handle on the hatch.

 

It was a real nice day, so I wired up ambient lights for the rear footwells.

 

Removed the silver pinstripes today. The car has baked in the sun for 1 year so needless to say there is a bit of variance in paint color where the pinstripes covered. Still like it better than with them though. Also added a couple of black i-vtec doc decals that I made on a vinyl cutter at my university. The black is very subtle against the blue paint.

As a side note, I have 6 black, 4 light blue, and 3 white decals leftover that I will be placing in the classifieds.

 

Coated my Jazz with Pomponazzi GT1 Quartz Glass Coating....

 

I modified the glove box organizer that was in my cooper to work in the Fit. Took a lot of tweaking but works.
