New MPG Best....54 MPG!!!
#3
I was driving from Gulf Breeze, FL to Panama City for work. I hit 54mpg when I got to Ft. Walton which took about 35 miles at 55-60 MPH. It is a major 4 lane highway that has quite a few signalized intersections up until Ft. Walton Beach. From there it narrowed down to 2 lanes of a lot of stop and go traffic for about 5 miles at 25-35 MPH then opened back up to 4 lanes at 55-65 MPH all the way to Panama City for another 60 miles with few signals. It never dropped below 50 MPG after passing through Ft. Walton all the way to Panama City.

Probably all highway.. I drive in the city and get an average of 25-30 mpg's. But I am driving around all day on 25mph streets in stop and go traffic. I have yet to run a full tank on the highway.
edit: OP posted as soon as I did.. :P

My CVT shows ridiculously high MPG even in the (rural) city as long as I don't stomp on the gas pedal and keep the rpm low - like 35 MPG average in the city! But that's just a display on the dash. I haven't compared with manual calculation.

I used to drive a lot on the hwy. What I found affected mpg the most was how much I stayed in the 65 to 70 mph range, and the big one was which way the wind was blowing and how hard. Also the temp, too.
I'd love to see what my Fit would get doing 55 on a warm day on mostly flat ground with no wind or a tail wind. Even on my motorcycle long distance riding, the wind made a marked difference.

That's a horribly inaccurate way to measure fuel economy.
Unless you can verify that number with a fuel up and dividing trip meter by gallons filled...its a number without much meaning.
When I had my Fiesta, it told me that the car was achieving 70.2 MPG for the first half of the tank...when I filled up I wound up 55.8 MPG in the real, verifiable world.

My average full tank has been a consistent 41-43mpg from full to empty.

Love the color especially on a nice sunny day! Plan on tinting the windows in the near future and would like to lower it a tad.

54 mpg
I have done manual calculations, and the display mileage is very close to the actual mileage! I have 18,000 miles on my 2015, and I do mostly highway. On a business trip to Detroit last fall I hit 54 MPG on an all-highway stretch of I-94.

Easy dude. He never said it was an accurate way!
He's just sharing what he's been observing... just for fun.
Oh boy, another Fiesta...

I bought one to replace my GD.
I then replaced it with both a GD and a GE.
Come at me when you've owned three Fits.

Bought the '14 CRV EX-L in Urban Titanium in September of 2014, came back and purchased the '15 Modern Steel Metallic EX 6spd Fit! If we had known, we would have waited for the restyled '15 CRV. Oh well!
