Going snowboarding in the 2015 fit.

As long as I remember, it was always a problem to fit 3 snowboards and a bunch of gear into a car and go on a trip to the mountains with me and 2 other guys. The 2015 fit fits 3 boards, 159cm, and in such a way that it won't scratch any plastics in the car or screw up and rip your seats. No problems fitting at all. On top of that, it fit all of the backpacks, boots, jackets etc.
Me and 2 others fit in the car and could move about freely during the drive for the first time ever.. Those 2015 fit advertisements don't lie.. everything fits and everyone has a buncha leg room!

Just thought I would share this with the world since every other car we drove in always had inconveniences.

My skis (170 cm) don't quite make it, at least with the narrow side of the back seat down - they end up just a bit onto the armrest. I bet with the wide side down they'll make it on a diagonal, but that doesn't leave a lot of seat for whoever gets scrunched in the back ;-)
(the skis are also in a ski bag to protect the interior, so it's a bit more than 170)

I had the wide side down since it was only 3 people. Its actually down 90% of the time because I love throwing stuff to the back

I guess my post is for people that aren't roof rack people . Don't wanna bother with it since the only large things I ever have are snowboards and me and my buddies always fit it in our cars.

I concur. I recently did a very long road trip with 2 men (6' and 6'4") and our 3 snowboards and gear and luggage. No issues whatsoever, no complaining, nada. Praise and surprise from my passengers on the space, the ride quality, storage, etc. I am a very happy GK5 owner!

I will be looking into a roof rack down the line so I can have 4 or 5 passengers and our boards and gear. And possibly for cargo purposes for camping trips and max occupancy. Idk, we'll see. I know that I will not purchase anything like that until I run into a problem without them. Maybe that day won't come, who knows.
