Honda 2015 Fit EX dashboard alignment issues
#23
There is also another thread for this (https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/3rd-...alignment.html) , and it's also in the thread for Quality Issues. I know because I've posted on both.
I have the same problem, and it does irk me a bit since it's always right in front of me and there is sometimes a light rattle from the area. The gap in mine grows in cooler/colder weather, but shrinks in warmer weather. However, the rattle is more often present in warmer weather.
This link shows some pics of this defect on my Fit: http://1drv.ms/1B41gH6
The dealer ordered the small trim piece that goes next to the small window, but the piece hasn't arrived (ordered on 01-23-2015). The explanation is that since it is a brand new design, some pieces take long to deliver since their distribution is not widespread yet.
Anyhow, once the piece arrives, the dealer will attempt to correct this cosmetic problem. I'll post again once this attempt is made, but that darn piece is sure taking a long time.

-- UPDATE --. Regarding the gap between the dash and A-pillar an the unevenness between the trim piece by the little window and dash (both of these on the driver's side), my dealer fixed it (after 2.5 months of ordering the piece). The piece they replaced was the trim piece next to the small window, and how they fixed the rest, I'm not sure, but it looks good to me. You can see pics via the following link. Three of the pics show the gap and unevenness and one shows the fix.

I checked again with the dealer yesterday. That trim piece has been on order for a month and is still on backorder. They're now telling me sometime in May. Hopefully this will get fixed at some point.
Apparently a lot of you guys are ordering that trim piece.

My girlfriend has huge gap in 2015 honda fit dashboard
My girlfriend hought her 2015 Honda fit just a year ago. She just noticed it has a huge gap now on driverside corner. She bought it in Green Bay Wisconsin at Van Honda 2821 S Oneida. The service guy said it was caused by weather, nothing to worry about? We seen these messages & we wished we never bought the Honda now. This is ridiculous, she never had anything done to dashboard. It came out of place on its own. This should be a recall & replaced for free!!
No one should have to pay out of pocket to fix this. A dealership should own up to fixing this issue.

Mine has displayed poor fit&finsh with regard to some body panels and gaps. The paint looks great, but I've noticed many tiny little rust spots all over the car. Little specs everywhere. I keep the car relatively clean and wax it periodically. Never seen an issue like that. There's a shudder when accelerating from a stop and accelerating gently. The driver's seat had some serious trying and cracking on the outer edge of the seat bottom leather from the very beginning. No amount of leather conditioner could resolve what looks like years of neglect and wear. I'm not thrilled with the build quality of my 2015 EXL. At 5 years and 30K miles, I'm trading it in for a 17 Civic
