Soft glass
I'd like to preface this by stating that overall I've been very pleased with my Fit and it has met the expectations I had for it considering its price point and intended market segment. I don't examine it looking for minute flaws or hold it to an unrealistic standard. It's good at what it was designed to do.
That aside, I have also been very disappointed to find that its window glass is exceptionally prone to scratching. The rear glass already had a scratch when I took delivery, that appears to have been caused by the wiper blade. We quickly added another attempting to (gently) remove some ice one morning with a plastic scraper. Several days ago I noted a third scratch, this time on the front passenger window, which inexplicably appeared without ever having used a scraper or any other hard object on it. These are each deep enough to feel with a fingernail.
Originally I had considered attempting to polish them out but will probably just accept them rather than risk further damage.
C'est la vie.
