Turning off Bluetooth media streaming but leave phone connected
How do I leave the phone connected but stop the damn thing streaming audio? I would like to listen to my radio and have google maps output through the phone speakers.
Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, right now you can't. Google Maps/Nav always wants to send audio through Bluetooth. I put an enhancement request on the Google Maps forum to add an option to direct audio out the phone speaker. Apparently Waze has that option. Google needs to add it to Maps/Nav . Or, you could use Waze for now.

EXCELLENT that was simple thanks - I was trying to find that option on the Honda itself..
Now another Question - can I have two bluetooth devices paired to the phone at any one time ? I would like to have the phone paired for phone calls and an OBD reader paired to the phone for data. Is this possible ?

It's possible, but only if the OBD reader uses just the "media audio" portion (uncheck "phone audio" on the OBD device in phone settings). If the OBD requires "phone audio" it wont work as you can't have the phone connected to two devices simultaneously that are using the same profile.

Do you have to be connected to the Fit at the time for this option to appear?
Edit:
Checked it this morning. The options are there when you are connected to the car. I would have never have known. I wouldn't normally mess with my phone settings while in the car when I am behind the wheel. I still think Google Maps should have an option to force audio out the phone's speaker.

Where is this? I can't find any such option. I have a Moto G running KitKat.

Not on my phone. Moto G LTE "unlocked". Only shows up when connected to the Fit. I might try re-pairing and see if that changes anything.

Strange. A coworker has the moto g, so I will try to remember to look at his phone this week. I have a Nexus 5, but could change the settings when not connected on my older android phones (as far back as the LG Optimus S).
