This Fit never cease to surprise me!

Got the car in mid October and haven't taken it on a real drive until today. I drove it over to Treasure Island in San Francisco to do some photo shoot of my car (will post pics soon) and then the part worried me a little is getting back onto the S.F. Bay Bridge going towards S.F. is the tiny merge lane. With econ mode off and wait for the right moment I stepped on the gas the car really moved.

Sometimes in that lane I feel I need a rocket pack strapped to the car but this 2015 Fit had no problem accelerating at decent rate of speed.

I haven't gotten the chance to drive around the steep hills yet. May try that next weekend. lol

Yes, I pop the Econ button off if I know I have a challenging merge, and additionally use Sport (CVT) if I have to overtake on a two-lane. It's like dialing in extra boost.

I had a tricky lane change last night and my Fit scooted right in, even with the Econ button on!

I love George (my Fit's name).

I'm sure it can, but not while carrying two wingback chairs.

It's this simple...

The Mazda 2 is the little car with the little interior for those who like "cozy."

The Honda Fit is the little car with the huge interior for people who carry stuff.

Hey, you didn't get my OK on that!

Aw, heck, if it's good enough for a Prince, it's good enough for a car!

I'm glad to hear you got good pick up on a stretch of road that really needs it. I did a test drive today and thought it felt a little sluggish compared to the '13. But because it's a different transmission, I think it's just a different feel and not necessarily a lack of performance. The engine doesn't seem to get as loud and the shifting seems smoother. Not a bad thing, just a difference to get used to.

Especially when passing on a two-lane road, I've developed the habit of getting the engine well up in revs before switching lanes and then nailing it. That's important with my motorcycle because the front wheel can come off the ground when I hit it, and it's important with my diesel truck because the one-foot diameter turbo takes a bit to spool up. Although I could do it in Drive with paddle shifters, I've found dropping the Fit into Sport mode before initiating a pass does that for me.
