Does 2015 Honda Fit have 4 electric windows?
#4
What sedan (or other vehicle with 4 doors such as a hatchback or truck) produces vehicles with only two power windows and the other two are the traditional crank-type windows?! Does anyone even make crank windows anymore?

Good question, I have not seen hand crank widows since the 80's. Growing up, my Father, an automotive engineer, would not allow power windows in our family car. He did not like them at all. I suspect he felt they could hamper your ability to exit a car in an emergency.

I don't think the main question was specifically whether the back windows were electric or manual, but instead whether they were fixed or could be opened, with the assumption that they were electric if they did open. The windows on all four doors can be opened and are indeed electrically operated; the frontmost and rearmost little windows (opera or vent windows?) are fixed.

The main objection to electric windows used to be their tendency to break and be expensive to fix. Back in the day of "4-70" air conditioning this was a major concern.
These days, with good A/C, we seldom lower the windows so they don't get the wear they used to and generally last the life of the car.

Shockingly, crank windows still exist and the fact that Chevy in their Sonic and Nissan with the Versa saddle you with crank windows if you want a manual transmission eliminated them from consideration when I was shopping. Utterly ridiculous!

These cars are the window electric all four!

Every dodge neon, and srt4 ever made has power front windows, and crank rear. I have no clue why.

The nice thing is that the rear windows go almost all the way down, too ("almost" because of the roofline angle). There are a lot of cars where the rear window only goes down halfway because of Safety Nannys™

That's correct for the Versa, but wrong for the Sonic. You can get the MT in every trim level of the Sonic.

It's hard to imagine how a halfway down window would be much very much safer for children than a fully down window.

It's harder to push them out a window halfway down than it is through an all-the-way-down window. Try it next time on a road trip when they won't stop fighting and you really don't want to make good on your "So help me, I'll pull this car over if you two don't stop fighting!" threat.
