So where the hell are they? Including mine I've seen five or six. And I know that's a bumper crop compared to other posters.

 

I think the article said "sold", not "delivered"! At least they are moving (on a delivery truck). Then we have those that are also at the dealership (for bumper replacement). It all adds up fast.

I saw my second "in the wild" Fit yesterday, on a rare "interstate" sighting. Well, I saw the back of it anyway.

 

How to post huge sales gains:

Don't introduce a 2014 model. Let supply of 2013s dwindle after mid-year.

Watch sales dwindle.

Promise an introduction in early 2014. Miss the date.

Finally introduce the new car in mid-2014, but don't have any for sale.

Trickle a few cars out in July and August.

Start seriously supplying dealers with cars in September.

Voilà! Post huge month-to-month gains for August to September.

Voilà! Post huge year-to-year gains for September 2013 to September 2014.


6628 units doesn't even get the Fit near the top 20 for sales. Honda sold 33,000 Accords and 22,000 Civics in the same month. Even the Kia Soul and VW Jetta sold over 10,000 units in September.
