Subs in my GK?

Just checking to see if anyone has gotten behind the EX radio in one of these things. I would like to put in my speakers and subs but i have no idea if there are audio outputs to support such a setup and i dont have the slightest clue on how to get behind the thing if i were to check...any ideas/suggestions?!?

Someone on here has already tried it, but there's no outputs in the back. Here's a picture of the back of the unit:

damn...so seems like the only option would be to go with something aftermarket huh...i wish my single din flipout was still working properly. i really dont even like the touch screen interface. i hate not having a volume knob...assume since you said someone already tried it that means they were unsuccessful??

intresting..this is a new concept to me. i assume i have to pull the plugs and run them into said converter? or would this involve a wiriing diagram and figuing out which wires go to what speakers and some electronics work??

You'd get the wiring diagram from the head unit. I don't think there is an external amp in this car.
That means the head unit is putting out a high level signal (not amp line level)
A good line output converter will just tap into that high level signal (probably for the rear speakers?) and convert it to stereo low level outputs. What kind of sub are you planning on installing? Some amps can accept a high level input (Basslink 10 comes to mind)

Well im wanting to put my whole setup in here..4 Kicker RS65.2 (6.5 inch 2 way coax) and my 2 10" Kicker CVX's i have a 4 channel k650.4 and a mono k1000.1....(I think, ill verify models when I get home its all basically sitting in a pile in my apt ) I havent searched yet but if you know of a wiring diagram or a teardown to get the radio out i would like to know how that is accomplished. im not used to working on these new fangled technologies, i went from a 94 accord that i could basically pull apart and snap back together to this new touchscreen/bluetooth/camera thing...

sorry no idea how to rip that thing out.
Sounds like you are going to add a 4 channel amp to your system. Does that 4 channel amp support high level inputs (also called speaker level inputs)?
If not, you'll need two line output converters to convert high level signal to low level, to your 4 channel amp. Some amps have a low level passthrough, so you can daisy chain your 4 channel and mono amp together off the same low level signal.

OH! thats what you meant, ive always wondered what those were for. so the amps are a zx1000.1, zx650.4(selectable high or low input). Speakers are ks650.2(4 of them), and the subs are CVX10(dont remember the impedance on them). BUT the problem i have with the 4 channel is that it only accepts RCA's and the mono amp looks like i can wire directly to it but it DOES, have an in and out..but if i use that then i would lose control over fade/balance. but knowing that i can wire directly to it helps A TON. just gotta hunt down a wiring diagram and a tear down guide.
