Acoustic guitarists: does your axe fit in your 2015 Fit?
I'm on the cusp of buying a new 2015 LX. First car purchase in 14 years - looking forward to it. It's been delivered to dealer, I haven't seen it yet.
A question for the guitar players: will my dreadnought (large-size but typical) acoustic guitar fit in the trunk? Will it fit sideways in the back seat? Will it fit stowed front-to-back with the car's back seat folded down?
I put some bucks down to reserve this car, and this question is keeping me awake at night! Thanks to any musicians or others who know the answer.

Guitarist here, I can't imagine having trouble fitting a guitar I the car. Lots of room. I knew a pedal steel player who drove a fit. Seriously, I could fit my amp, pedal board and guitars in there with the seats down.

Lol. Hell I have had my 8' kayak in mine!

Thanks for the quick replies!
My guitar case is 44" long, 18" wide at widest point, 6" thick.
Also I'm concerned about the aluminum tripod I use to mount a PA speaker; it's 50" long in its folded state, but quite narrow. It fits sideways on the floor of the back seat in my current, soon-to-be-traded car.
Obviously I could fold down the passenger seat and get everything in, but I want to transport my singer, along with the gear. Everything has to fit into the car somewhere behind the front two seats.
Glad to have found this forum!

With the rear seats folded down you can fit a bicycle back there. If you haven't you need to go look at one and you will be convinced. Good luck!

Yes! I can't show you an acoustic, but how about a few others?
One thing: there's a wider spot between the wheels and the cargo opening (a very round "T" shape), so while your guitar might fit there width-wise, it won't fit everywhere in the cargo area width-wise (and you probably can only carry one guitar like that).
Gibson ES335 fits:
Les-Paul case (not a Les Paul inside) fits:
Full-size bass won't fit, but there's lots of room for it length-wise:
From the side, guitars in same position as previous pic-- so there's room all the way around (but the driver's seat is pretty far forward):

With the rear seats down, you have about five feet or so from the front seats to the hatch. I think you could probably fit an upright bass in the hatch that way, and maybe even a spinet piano on its back (but I wouldn't bet any money on that, nor would I want to manhandle it into the car!)

There is no room in this vehicle. It is very small and cramped. I'm sorry my friend .... you have perpetuated a monstrous debacle.
I can fit (with seats folded forward) 3 guitars, 2 combo amps, my synth-in-case, gear bag and still have room for groceries and adult-carbonated-refreshment.
Relax .... you done good!
